Had a few grows over the past year

Ready to grow once a year pack up a chill

How many plants do you reckon

Probably an ounce a month maybe 2
I keep a tent full of 4 healthy plants almost at all times. I slack a little mid-winter having to veg indoors but I never have so much bud I’m looking to sell it. So say 16-20 plants.

You'll start consuming way more than that once you start making your own hash and edibles lol.

Variety is nice. I can't imagine smoking the same couple strains for a whole year. 2 ounces per month is like 1 grow in a 5x5 for the whole year.

As long as I have enough bud for 12 month I'm a happy man

Been growing continuously for 9 months .

Im fairly secure when it comes to storing and no one knows I smoke but my family . Works out better in the long run that to have a tent constantly active

That totally depends on how much you consume, the strain, and how well your grow goes.

I could easily get by with 4 plants in a 4x4 tent and a 600 watt HID once a year. I've pulled over a pound with that setup. I smoke maybe a half ounce a month if that. So for me I could probably get by with 2 plants once a year and have enough to last. But I like variety so I do several grows a year with multiple strains each grow. I couldn't smoke the same stuff all year long. I much prefer pondering which jar out of a dozen I want to pull a bud out of.

My thoughts . So I'm planning 4 plants 4 different strains . Hopefully be enough to last a good portion of next year

As a plant lover I suggest you stick to one strain and from clones until you learn that strain. Move on and on until you know how each grows. Purse puppies don't belong in the wolf cage as you will learn. And we get them all in all forms.

OP, so much is going to depend on your skill as a grower and on the genetics of what you are growing. Some of the growers on here have skills honed over decades. You indicated you’ve been growing for ~9 months.
Asking “how many plants for a year’s harvest” is something you can best answer for yourself. If you’ve been growing continuously for 9 months in a 4x4 with a 480W QB, you should have a decent idea at least of what you are currently able to harvest on a per plant basis.
Not meant as a criticism, but this question plus the other thread you posted asking “when will this be ready to harvest?” both suggest that your grow game is still developing.
As a grower that has stopped and started back up a few times in the last 25 years, my yields are sometimes underwhelming when I quit growing for a while and then get back into it.
Also, trying to run 4 different strains in a single area can be very frustrating. Heavy feeders vs lighter ones, huge stretches vs minimal, big differences in flowering time between strains, etc. It is nice to have the variety though.

Fair enough have grown Jack herer and green crack 3 times so I'm fairly comfortable adding one or two different varieties

I started in a space bucket I'm currently finishing a plant that started In a space bucket all were autos and yeilded over an ounce each . The plant finishing in the tent should yeild 3-4 Oz . So I'm wanting to go for a few photos and fill the tent
