Along for the ride. You play guitar?
Welcome aboard. Honored to have you here.
Kush Ninjas to the left, Spliff Warriors to the right.

As for the guitar, I don't play. I had played a bit when I was younger but never spent enough time to get real good with it...
Got the basics down like Enter Sandman intro and Smoke on Water. Could probably still do that though

Are you a guitar guy? I know you're a sipper! :blsmoke:

I wish I could play but yeah.. I don't play.

Thanks I think they are looking pretty happy but maybe could use something more. I just fed today.

PH 5.8-6

EC .75

They seem to be catching root nicely but the last two I pulled aside are still lagging. Will transplant the peat soon and then fix them up nice before topping to see which ones don't branch very well. Will try to get some more pics but nothing exciting is happening yet. Except on the #5 in the peat pot you can see in the picture it's got the afhy leaf mutations going on (finger under the fan leaf).

Did you do a journal on that NL at all? Interesting the smell is sweet. I am not getting any smells but hopefully will start to smell up nice and skunky / musk but mint / rubberband and sweet. Would love to check it out I know I've seen the sips

That looks nice thanks for sharing those. I love looking at other variations.
Also love those tubs.. You already know this!

How was the smoke on her?

Here is some vintage shots of the SS and the NL

Second pic there..

So what I have deduced with the help of others is taller ones will be sk leaners. Short broad leaf in the 89. ....it is a bx of the 89...
There will be many more NL types like we had mentioned previously here in the thread but the SK will pop up. (maybe not out of our current 5)

Let's grow :blsmoke:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. They grow up so fast don't they?

As I was mixing up some Earth Juice.. I splashed some on my new shoes. I looked up and the clouds started to part a bit.
Shortie looked at me like the devil and said.. Aye it's a full moon.. You should plant more seed :blsmoke:

Just checked on my babies. No sign of M/F so thinking of a plan.

Will upgrade the females to bigger pots when they are ready. Probably leave the males as is and strip their branches.
Males in 3g stubbies, Females in 5g big boys. I am having a hard time deciding on how to shape them since there is lot's of variance in the branches.

Will figure it out on a spliff under the Blue moon. No pics tonight but will have some for you on Wednesday.

P.S. Just accidentally dropped 6 Chem Cake, 6 Katsu Bubba Kush, 6 Archimage Snow in some really well tilled soil.

Hey Altered Jean, how do you collect your pollen?
I'm a bagger, so I don't need a separate space for the boys. Then I do my pollinations in a high tech chamber.( Really a stand up shower, in a spare bathroom)

What's up Budderton? Happy Mondaze. I'm about to head out for some breakfast and work!
Hopefully it's a good one today.

Bare with me but here is the short answer to your question.
That depends on what's going on.. I don't really have a single way I do it. Sometimes won't collect pollen..

But lately if I do I just use old 1/8 jars or sometimes k-cups filled with some dessicant at the bottome and lined with a coffee filter, and drop ripe sacs in there to dry out for a few days. Can stay viable for a long time in decent drying conditions. This morning though I just skipped that and pulled them straight into some cryo tubes to be used later this evening. And it's a real hurry I will leave the sacs whole, intact inside of a grinder screen after they are dried and freeze the whole grinder. Shaking it will break the sacs and free the pollen dropping it into the kief catcher.

If there's a lot of pollen to be needed will let the plant keep going and collecting daily, rather than removing any sacs.. The collection falls into a pine box with a screen and glass bottom. I used to use paper but the glass is much better for sliding the pollen around.

Sometimes will use them while they are drying.. If not they will sit and dry until I can sift the plant material and put the yellow in some labeled cryo tubes with a couple dessicant balls.. Depends on the weather unless the envornment is controlled really, but once it's dry enough will go into the fridge un-capped for 1-2 days and then sealed into a bag and then into the freezer. I haven't really been a fan of cutting the pollen with anything..

*edit Also depends on what I'm doing but most of the time they die before lots of pollen drops unless it's an open poli.
The bathroom is probably the best place to do it for still air. But sometimes will shut off the fans in my veg room and do it in a tent there.
The boys have never grown up seperately but they are rarely ever near any flowers. And I try to space out varieties by 2 weeks or so just incase I miss spraying anything down. For example Dude set #a flowering, drops pollen / kill, clean 2 week space, clean / new variety.

Here are a bunch of dudes on the chopping block earlier this year. If you want later we can talk about selecting these bad boys.
I find myself having a difficult time, 100% of the time. I assume women are better at it.

Hope that makes sense. Probably a bit confusing.. The Banana OG is pretty strong today

Peace :blsmoke:

Makes perfect sense. I make alot of beans so I get it. Yah male selection is a whole other long post for sure. I've got some things I look for, but as you know, it all depends on what your tryna do.

High there.

Sorry I bailed on you guys yesterday about the pics. Busy flirting with the ladies.
Nothing exciting happening, but I got a tent

TheNorth-02-006.jpg

Looks like 2/5 are male. Will know a bit later on. I haven't completely decided on the flowering. It will be an open poli.
Will probably get them tall to check expressions and learn a bit more about them and then cut them back a few times,
to shape them up and before using the seed pot to run the flowers.

Hope you're having a good week :blsmoke:

Jah focus. I got them all rooted so no more stunts. All in 3 gallon stubbies.

#1, #2 Male
#3, #4, #5 Female

Going to keep #1 around town. Less branching, more thick fucking pungent. #2 is skinny, stemmy, very branched. Both have similar smell but #1 appears to be more hard body. I am waiting for a female friends second opinion on the two males before I make a final choice. Not like it matters really, because we are using both of them here. But as far as the keepers I want a second opinion.

Haven't decided on a lady yet. Will wait to see their flowers. Lot's of variance and I am seemingly liking #3 Not broad leaf but not narrow nice and thick too.. #4 is very broad, short, stout and slow. #5 is very wide open, vigorous and narrow leaf. Here are pics before I ran cuts. New tent who dis?

On a side note : #2 which is male, was hoping would be female. I had shaped in anticipation of being a female. It was the most vigorous plant.

Of course it turns out that it was male.. So A clone was rooted and is in the tent there (bottom left) with the others. Keeping it in a 1 gallon, surely it would catch up and pass the others in a 3 gal. Yeah dude.. Gonna stay in 1 gal for now.. Anyways, thanks for chopping by.

I'm up in 2 hours to get espresso. Flowing like water baby. Whatchu up to?

Top of the morning AJ. I am sipping my first coffee and preparing to finish packing up beans form my lastest selections to ship out to the growmies. Was up last night making labels and filling packs so the bulk of the work is done. Yah!
I always wanna find the best male ( to a fault) so I try to do all possible combinations of 1:1 pollinations , then hold all the parents till the progeny are grow out and evaluated. Hence the reason I've been stringing a dozen or so males along for the last couple yrs! That didn't come out right.? Anyhow, be like water...
