Coco is not soil and cannot be treated as such.
I would recommend starting over in soil and reading some basics about how to grow.

If you want to stick with coco and be hyper involved with your plant on a daily basis multiple times a day every fucking day, while you learn on the fly?

Dank, no I really am not invested is the coco. I read a few articles and took it to heart. Perhaps a mistake on my part. I am open to what ever I need to do to have a successful grow. Must be true what they say...you don't know what you don't know.

Start over. Use that happy frog soil. Spout your seeds in it and water only when dry. Start feeding around 2-3 weeks of after 5th node. Works every time for beginners. Simple.

I'd suggest using solo cups to sprout. Transplant your way up. Just manage your watering correctly and do not over use your nutes.

Thanks DrOgkush! I started all of my outside veggies and fruit in solo cups and they turned out fine. I think I have overthought and mismanaged the information I was reading. So glad I joined up here so perhaps I can make the adjustments needed.

It is blowing the air into the CF. Not sure I understand what you mean by having a passive intake open on the side opposite the filter. I have everything else sealed off so no light breaks up the light cycle.

How do you get air into the tent? An intake fan? If I didnt have a passive or fan intake, my exhaust would implode my tent.

He means that if there is a floor flap down where those little colorful bottles are near the front of your tent, you should open it for your intake. That will be your passive intake. It is the intake for your air exchange that is powered by your exhaust fan. Your exhaust fan is creating a negative pressure inside your tent. Having an open flap and just allowing the air in to equalize on its own is called a passive intake. If you are concerned about light leaks due to having that flap open, you can build a cardboard box port that blocks the light. Can also use the duct (round) port and stick a piece of tubing in and point it away from the light and put that in a cardboard box too. You can Google how to make it, it is simple. Cardboard light baffle or some shit...too blazed to remember exactly.

So, moved the tent to another room. It is about 83 degrees right now and it is 88 outside. Made a passive vent with some of the hose used on the outtake motor. Set up now.

So, I basically have a black thumb, but a real desire to grow. I bought a tent kit and started my first 2 seeds about a month ago. I am having problems controlling the temp (too high) and humidity (too low). I am on a 18 hour light on, and 6 hours off. My little plants have not grown at all in the last few weeks and the leaves are tipping downward and the leaf color is not right. I don't know if I am watering enough or too much. Overthinking can be a recipe for disaster so I thought I would join up and see if folks more experienced than me could offer up some tips. The seeds are feminized skunk, using coco coir, watering every few days with distilled water and have not used any nutrients yet. The seedlings are about 25 inches away from my LED light. hey bud how is the drainage in those, if the roots dont have a chance of getting O2 then this will happen.A good rule of thumb is if you stick your finger in the soil and it feels wet dont water if it feels damp time to water.

When I water there is always water coming out the bottom of the drain holes pretty quickly.

So, I haven't given up on my two stunted little plants. Seems that they are doing better since I moved the tent but they still aren't progressing like I think they should. I decided to start another seed at the end of July. This time using happy frog soil with no coco or plugs. It seems to be progressing better than the other two. Here were are with 2 plants at 39 days (the midgets) and 1 plant is now 14 days. Giving food to the two little ones but not the one newest plant since I figure the nutrition in the soil will suffice for now.

From what I understand coco has no nutrients and should be feeding from the start. IMO easiest thing for you to do now is transplant them into that happy frog. Or start over from scratch if they're autos..

What he said. I’d repot these into soil ASAP and water when pots are light.

I am going to do that today ot tomorrow. I got some little 2 gallon vivosun grow bags I am going to put them in. Watered them this morning and want the medium moist so it will hopefully hold together for the transfer. That coco just falls apart when its dry and I dont want to damage the roots moving them. Fingers crossed.

As many have said, try and avoid coco or hydro as a new grower. Soil is way more forgiving. Coco demands daily watering always with nutes so if you aren't able to provide that level or care, soil would be your best bet (I won't go near coco yet, I am not experienced enough). Try to avoid soil with any nutrients in them and you should have much better results!

What about not removing the coco but just repot as is? The roots will have better chance in staying intact and should grow into the new medium seamlessly.

Those pots can accommodate a plant to harvest without the need to repot.

Out of necessity I have had to flower from a 1 gal pot. The plants grew and were top heavy at about 4 ft tall.

Harvest was still aboutapound.

Yeah I am done with coco for sure. I can just see that the last plant I put in soil looks so much healthier and has grown much faster. I didn't realize I could finish the pot out in a 2 gallon bag. I have 5 gallon ones as well because I thought I would have to transplant again.

You can up pot to 5 gal. That is what I use.

1 gal bag to 5 gal then harvest. This works well for the size of plants I want.

Probably putting the cart before the horse but I ordered some more seeds. Bought some Girl Scout Cookies Extreme Autoflower. In my inexperienced mind, I figure the quicker they grow, the less time I'll have to #$%^ something up. What I am growing now is feminized skunk. Lokie as far as the grow bags, I have 2 gallon and 5. Going to go from 2 to 5 if needed. My first 2 plants look kind of stunted. Who knows what they'll do.

Beginners should not be doing coco unless you have some experience with growing. Your stems are stretched as well. Use a lux meter on your phone to get around 8k lux from the canopy during seedling. Then you can up to 40k once you get your first pair of true leaves. Weight is the best way to know when to water. Obviously a small plant is going to drink a lot less than a full plant in flower so use your judgement but its easiest to do by weight. Water when it feels light.

I would recommend FFOF soil and then you can start nutes around week 4. 1/4 or 1/2 strength and work your way up. Let the plant tell you what it needs.

And for your information, coco needs nutrients with every watering. Coco has no nutrients.
