Carbon filter
Shoutout to Vivosun. I went through a million filters of all different sizes that were blowing my cover after only a few months, if that, until I bought a Vivosun virgin charcoal filter. I need to order a new one because the cloth is dark brown and I can smell it outside of the tent a little, but I just looked and I bought it on July 30, 2019. There has been no detectible odor outside of the tent up until recently, and none in the rest of the house let alone outside. I could smell funk from the furthest reach of my very large backyard with my last one. A neighbor who was walking by said he called the area around my house "Skunk Land." Going cheap is a bad idea that I luckily didn't learn the hard way.

you probably won’t believe me but I’m gonna say it anyway.

I use a RHINO PRO 150x600 (900m3/h) with a fan rated at 460m3/h and a temperature sensored fan speed controller.

I exhaust into my well ventilated attic area.

I purchased the filter in 2012 lol.

I have 2 pre filters that I rotate and wash etc.

never replaced the carbon either to date.

My fan barely runs at 100% ever! So I can only assume that’s why it’s lasted so long.

if it ain’t broke Don’t fix it lol.

and yes I’ve been in my attic with my nose right by my exhaust and nothing but clean air lol.

Don’t get me wrong though. I’m always checking because I know all too well that filters shouldn’t last this long lol.

Damn, that's insane. I'm buying one of those next time. How's the humidity while using a sensored controller? I've thought about buying one, but I was worried that it would possibly lead to bud rot.

I can control humidity as I have a dehumidifier and humidifier.

humidifier during veg to bump it up and dehuey for flower when needed.

at the moment I keep my dehuey in my 3x10ft walkway to my walk in closet grow area.

I intake external screened air from outside but air also pulls in under the door from the walkway.

this keeps my room a modest 40% RH during flower.

i also utilise an 80w tubular greenhouse heater in my grow on a timer to activate during dark hours.

last run I didn’t use the dehuey and lost a cola to rot due to a stagnant pocket in my room through lack of additional osc fan. Remedied with another fan underneath the area blowing up.

my dehuey is set 60% in the walk way and it activates approx every 30mins and runs for approx 5mins and shuts off.

Do any of you ever stand back and think, "damn, I built this entire system. Piece by piece. Customized to my needs. Totally unique. Lots invested money in here, lots of money wasted to get here." We all do this with the buds, but the rooms don't get as much love. It's impressive. Be proud of yourselves.

I spent £1500 On my previous setup for the Po Po to take it away after one harvest lol.

It was a single 600w setup but on steroids lol.

The door to my grow area used to be in the wall on the opposite side in a completely different room lol.

A guy i know got his shit taken away +xxxx amount of seeds from commercial ones to uniqe ones from afganistan etc. :) mind you seeds arent illegal where i live but they take everything as soon as you get caught with one plant . Even if you have an album that says collectibles they take it straight away and not even asking you what type of seeds they are.
