So you go skiing in the backcountry I'm assuming have you done any base jumping @DarkWeb
Not me but I have a few friends that do stuff like that. You don't just start doing that without serious commitment to learning how to safely do it. It just doesn't draw my interest enough I guess.

This is what my friends do...I'd definitely like to hit a open frozen lake with my skis and a big kite though :)

So today I learned bikes are not easy to work on, because there are so many freaking different versions, standards, measurements, etc. Zero industry standardization. Like there are at least 3 different styles of break caliper mounts :dunce: That's just the mounts, then there are probably thousands of choices of components.

I think I need to go sit in the flower room for a spell with vaporizer. At least my headache subsided after 2 days!!

It got up to 50° for a few minutes today so I broke the e-bike out for its first real ride. OMG what a freaking blast! This is going to be fun. Didn't even knock one bar off my battery having gone seven miles. But man is it freaking cold. As soon as I got here the sun went in. I'm sitting in my truck with the heat blasting right now.IMG_20210224_161857.jpgIMG_20210224_165857.jpg

Yeah. Like it sounds. I know at least a few members here ride. I'd love to hear about your experience. What type of riding you do, what kinda bike you use, any upgrades or hacks you've done to it. Pictures are a huge plus!

@Laughing Grass @sarahJane211 are the ones that come to mind off the bat. But please! Don't be shy!

Personally, I have recently gotten into Ebikes. I already built a cruiser with a 1000w front hub motor and an 18ah battery. But now I'm looking into building a "gravel" bike. Fat tire 7 speed with the capability to ride on gravel roads, fire breaks, the beach, etc. It will also be a powered bike, but with a mid-drive motor powering the drivetrain eventually to get the maximum amount of torque out of it.

Oh, mods, please don't move this to the Fitness section. You know as well as I do that that is a death sentence for a thread here on RIU...lol
i had a bicycle once :(

Just a warning...that battery bar isn’t accurate, and as soon as it drops one level, you have a few miles to get back to wherever you started from.

Drop it down to pedal assist 1 and pedal back home when that happens...lol.
