The fishing thread ( not about fish fertilizer)

I searched and surprisingly enough there are no dedicated fishing threads. I double checked. @curious2garden
Edit:my search ability lacks apparently

So I figured I'd start one.

Striper, largemouth, catfish, a flounder by mistake and a jelly fish on a popper.

Just a few.

So what about you all? Let's see your fish!

I did not visit each of these but it is likely one of the threads match your content requirements.

There can never be too many fishing threads. I miss walleye fishing in SD. I caught bigger than this one, but one of my friends wanted to have his girlfriends dad mount it and I was like whatever man, if anyone's getting it mounted it's me. He called him up and he said he'd do it for $50. Then he needed his computer fixed so I charged him $50, lol.

We have them here in CO, but nothing like SD. We constantly caught monsters there.

I love fishing but as luck would have it I've just replaced my phone and 2/3 years of fishing photos are in it, I forgot to charge it, when I plugged it in it wouldn't/didn't take a charge :-(
I'm absolutely sick about losing them.

I do a lot of brown trout, sea trout and salmon fishing, sea trout fishing through the night is truly magical idk what the X factor is but it's really special, I hate to see daylight creeping over the horizon lol.

True fly fisher snob here, fish rivers for brown and rainbow trout, mostly dryfly.
That's what's mostly here too. The fly rod is the only way I really like to fish for trout anymore. They don't swallow the hook that way, so I can practice catch and release. Trout are fragile. Walleye also tastes way better. It's as close to white ocean fish like cod as it gets in fresh water. I grew up eating trout, but it's just a little too fishy tasting compared to walleye.

What I thought was funny is when I went down to Denver for minnows the guy asked me how many I wanted. That's when I found out they sell them individually. I was like WTF. Anyways there was only like 20 minnows in there so I said well I guess I'll take them all. They were like $.20 a piece or something crazy.

In SD they sell them by the scoop. Like $1.25 a scoop or something. A lot of convenience have tanks full of them. There's nowhere like that here around Denver even though we have walleye in some lakes. I think it's crazy that tiny hick towns are loaded with them, but I can barely find them in the City.

Ice fishing is fun too at night in a nice warm cabin or tent. With some good weed of course.
