I got 7 plants under a 1000w hps & a 600w mh. I got this in a 4x4 tent. They are all in flower mode. Does anyone know if this is too much light?

That is a lot of damn light for a 4x4. Can you even keep it cool?
Personally if you aren't using CO2 I highly doubt the plants will utilize that much. In fact in flower, the 1000 watt hps should be more than enough for a 4x4 even with co2

It's got to be roasting in there. It's 15 deg outside right now and my 630 CMH (in a 4x4) keeps my little cabin at a balmy 72 degrees all by itself.

Why are your plants so stretched out? What light were u using till you changed to the 1600w setup? Those things look like they will be touching the ceiling by the time they are done stretching.

u want bushes....

the day i flipped to 12/12

I’ve vegged these plants under a 600w mh & i didnt have a cooling tube so i had to keep a little distance between light and plant so thats why they are stretched. Temps stay around 66-70 degrees Fahrenheit with both of the lights in 4x4 tent. I just want to get the most out of them. The reason it so cool in there is because i have my tent next to a door & it is winter outside so that helps 100% to keep cool down.

1000w is made for a 4 x 4 area. Use a 1000w Hortilux HPS for best results.
I am using a 1000w Hortilux Hps. & a 600w mh & both are kinda wore and tore. They been used for a while. I bought them second hand so im sure the whole 1000w is in the bulb & the whole 600w is in the mh bulb. So basically in other words.. are very old bulbs

I got a door that leads straight to outside that i use to my advantage in this 5 degree weather over here. Problem is during summer i might look into investing into Leds or some i dont know

All that and I bet you're still less than the par value of a sunny day outside. I checked the sun the other day it was around 2300 ppfd. Inside through a window was around 1500.

Shit that's alot. I run a 600w hps and manage to get around 1gpw in a 4x4, I don't need much more than the 600 as it seems to be enough. If I went higher I don't know if I would hit that gpw

Something seems off. With 1000 and 600 watt bulbs both running in a small space and you are only getting temps of around 66-70 degrees Fahrenheit (18-21 Celsius)? What is the room temp as that tent should be cooking. Are you running an ac unit?
