Can a photoperiod plant show signs of auto flower?

It is my understanding that if a plant is a photo period plant then that is exactly what it is and that is all it is. A friend of mine tells me though that a photoperiod plant can show signs of auto flower. But I don’t understand how that could be, can anyone clarify for me?

I imagine if its a photo plant that somehow has ruderalis in its genes even slightly could somehow affect it and cause problems

Is it not the case that if there is ruderalis in the genes, the plant (from seed) will either have that auto flower gene or not have it. Instead of having and displaying traits of both? Or can it somehow display traits of both? (I don’t see how it could and this is what I’m trying to get clarity on)

Hmm well if its a true photo plant I don't see how it could unless light leaks or something that would cause it to reveg or visa versa somehow.. i don't see it acting like an auto unless its an auto lol but I'm no botanist so

A photo period plant is a photo period plant. An autoflower plant is an autoflower plant. It's either or, they don't share flowering properties.

Sounds like Autos contaminating our good photo period plants gene pool. Autos are a horrible idea if you ask me. They're gonna fuck up the weed of the future. Fuck Auto's. Here comes the haters, lol.

That might sound crazy but I have to plants that are dragons breath crossed in the breed with orange sherbert. My ladies are photo period but they were showing flowers on a 18/6 schedule a few weeks before I flipped. What’s wild is they are actually still begging new green on the bottom like they are still vegging, only they are full 12/12 no light interruption. I think we’re gonna end up with an endless mother who does both the whole process.

And that is definately not a result of incorrect nutrients at incorrect times? Or any other Stressors?
