What Trump says to Gold Star families:

Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson told Miami news station WPLG that while speaking with Myeshia Johnson, the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, one of the troops killed in Niger, Trump said, "He knew what he signed up for, but when it happens, it hurts anyway."

she looked at the congresswoman and said, "He didn't even remember his name,"

What he said to the white terrorists who sacked the US Capitol Building: "We love you. Go home. Go in peace."

The vid shows the scene posted as an image earlier. Just after the friendly cop posed for his selfie with a white nationalist terrorist, the camera scans to a fairly pastoral scene of cops just wandering about the hall with the rioters. As if to show how we can all just get along. Just give the terrorists everything they want and it's going to be fine.

I think the investigation of this fiasco is gonna be long, detailed and intense, if they had inside help of any kind from any level it will be examined under a microscope. This is different, this was a sacking of the Capital and an attack on the congress, their asses are on the line too. It is ironic that now that congressional lives matter, it will insure black lives matter and add great impetus to police reform in America. This failed coup, failed spectacularly and will cause the GOP to implode among other good things, I feel many positives will flow from this unfortunate and sordid episode. Unintended consequences big time methinks.

Hogan still puzzled by delay in approval for Maryland National Guard assistance during Capitol riot
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) said on Sunday that though the Maryland National Guard quickly mobilized upon hearing the U.S. Capitol had been breached on Wednesday, he was unable to get permission to send troops into Washington, D.C., for “quite some time.”

Hogan said on CNN's “State of the Union” that he was able to immediately send state police officers into D.C. But while governors can usually send members of their national guards across state lines with permission from another governor, he required permission from the Department of Defense in order to send troops into D.C.

"So, our Guard mobilized and was ready. But we couldn't actually cross over the border into D.C. without the OK. And that was quite some time. We kept running it up the flagpole, our generals talking to the National Guard generals. And eventually, I got a call from Ryan McCarthy, the secretary of the Army, asking if we could come into the city. But we had already been mobilizing," Hogan told CNN's Jake Tapper.

Two hours they had to wait for the OK. He would have been a national hero if he said fuck it, and sent them in right away.

Meanwhile the gaslighting Trump's chumps say shit like "no evidence". Meanwhile, Trump tries to overturn the election without showing one scrap of evidence.

So, @doug58 , what about it? You don't need any evidence to disenfranchise 80 million voters but demand we somehow show evidence that is locked up in an evidence locker for an ongoing investigation.

EX DOJ, I think you were fired for incompetency, not retired. Any money you have came from graft or bribes. Your kind can't even walk in a straight line.

Newkirk mayor Brian Hobbs, who was on the U.S. Capitol steps amid rioting inside, alternately attributed violence at the Capitol to “Antifa goons” and denied that anything violent occurred.
“It was not violent,” he said. “There was no violence whatsoever."

The second 51 yo cop that committed suicide 3 days after the coup attempt had ties to Manafort and Stone.

I can think of all kinds of scenerios that could have led to this. I can see one that Trump and his criminal conspirators wanted this to turn into a bloodbath. Of course this goes down to not having information to say that with confidence on my part, just bullshit by me, but it is enough knowing Trump and his militarized trolls will try to sow confusion and hate on any side.

This cop might indeed be a nazi, but it could just be him trying to stay alive and not have to open fire on these people being left in a horrible situation. I will wait for the reports on this riot before I draw too many conclusions that are beside the point.

White House orders flags lowered to honor late police officers who responded to US Capitol breach
President Donald Trump ordered that the flag flying above the White House be lowered to half-staff on Sunday to honor US Capitol Police officers Brian Sicknick and Howard Liebengood, who were both on duty when a mob of Trump's supporters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday.
The step comes days after Capitol Police announced on Thursday that Sicknick had died "due to injuries sustained while on-duty." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had ordered flags at the US Capitol to be flown at half-staff the following day.

Liebengood, meanwhile, died while off duty, the Capitol Police said Sunday. The announcement did not state the officer's cause of death.
"As a sign of respect for the service and sacrifice of United States Capitol Police Officers Brian D. Sicknick and Howard Liebengood, and all Capitol Police Officers and law enforcement across this great Nation, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, January 13, 2021," the proclamation from the President reads in part.

Good people on both sides.
Man in 'Camp Auschwitz' sweatshirt during Capitol riot identified
A rioter who stormed the US Capitol Wednesday wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with the phrase "Camp Auschwitz" has been identified as Robert Keith Packer of Virginia, according to three sources who spoke with CNN.

An image of Packer inside the Capitol, whose sweatshirt bore the name of the Nazi concentration camp where about 1.1 million people were killed during World War II, has evoked shock and disbelief on social media. The bottom of his shirt stated, "Work brings freedom," which is the rough translation of the phrase "Arbeit macht frei" that was on the concentration camp's gates.
Packer did not respond to CNN's requests for comment.

One Virginia resident, who spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, described Packer as a long-time extremist who has had run-ins with the law.

"He's been always extreme and very vocal about his beliefs," the resident said.
Another source familiar with Packer described him as an "off-beat" character who has expressed frustrations with the government, though this source did not recall Packer ever talking about President Donald Trump or false allegations of voter fraud.
