How do u guys set up your in-line line fans?
Inline to carbon filter?
Carbon filter to inline?
Carbon filter outside or inside tent?
InLine fan outside or inside tent?
Or both inside and outside tent?

Which set up do u guys prefer?
I have my carbon filter inside at the the top of tent running to my inline outside on top of the tent.

Inline? Are you blowing or sucking air through your filter

As long youre soaking the air through the prefilter of the carbon and not push air in to the carbon you should be fine with any setup which fits you.
You want the dust filtered from the prefilter and not direct in your carbon normally,
simply to prolong the lifetime of the charcoal.

have mine quite classic mounted, carbon and inline inisde the tent hung to the roof, inline is soaking air from the carbon.
having the stuff outside of course would save some height.

I’ve just seen ppl set them up a lot of different ways, was curious if one was better than other for unknown reasons. Mine is similar to yours but I put my inline on top of my tent bc I didn’t have anything to hang it with.

I cut the pre filter that comes with the main filter. I use the pre filter on the grow room door intake. The inline blower vacuums the room. Pushes the air into the carbon filter. Which resides outside the grow room.

I use a vortex 6" blower. Reduced up, going into a huge 8" filter that's 4 feet long. Overkill. I can NOT have it smelling. No negotiation. It can't fucking stink. Period.

I keep it all inside, it doesn't really contribute much heat so it's easier for me just to hang it from the tent poles rather than screwing hooks into my ceiling. And yes, you want it to SUCK not BLOW.

That’s what I was curious ab. Having the inline suck the air into the filter outside the tent.

So I just placed my inline directly on top of my tent, it’s not secured to anything. Is that bad?

think there is no problem having the inline on top of the tent then having it inside.
sounds like youre doing well.
would keep with a sucking carbon filter as long youre not filtering all incomming air allready.
if you blow dusty unfiltered air in to the filter directly there wont be anything stopping the dust from clogging your charcoal, really something needed to be consdiered tmv.
it will work both ways, just one way will have a shorter filter lifespan.

was just easier for me to put it inside.
also i could hung the inline in rubberbands this way to kill some vibs.

What speeds do y’all run your fans? I have mine on 4. Ac infinity 4in 3x3x6
You'll need to figure out the cubic feet.

With my square footage. Full power on a 6". Half power with an 8".

The more air getting replaced. The happier the plant. To control the tent environment. You control the outside room environment. There's A balance. You have to figure it out with your grow op yourself.

Probably gonna have to up the ante. I have a 4in less than half power.
