Just kill them suckers The plants love HP .Look it up
Before you said you weren't adjusting the pH. Now you say you've been giving it a lot of pH down.I had a grower come by and look at the plants - he pointed towards the gnat larvae as well. I ordered some nematodes they should be here in 3 days.. afraid it may be too late by the time that comes around.
This is interested - I was previously pH downing pretty harcore - taking it to 6.3-6.6 on regular water and no down on nutes since the bloom brings the pH down.
I've been adding a little sugar because I read that this helps with the microbial life.
Suggested pH after nutes?
Soil is "organic" as per the bag lol
stop doing that. thats not at all the right sugars and it wouldn't matter anyway because your supposed to add mollasses for your micro herd in organics, but you can forget any and all organic rules now because your medium to survive must be run the salt based way, no way to keep a healthy biome anymoreStraight white sugar from the Domino box.
And for feed I am using Lotus Bloom (granules) and I have liquid calmag
I am not adjusting anymore after I thread I posted here about pH and was told 7.2 was perfect. See: https://www.rollitup.org/t/my-tap-ph-is-high-and-not-in-a-good-way.1039248/#post-15977504Before you said you weren't adjusting the pH. Now you say you've been giving it a lot of pH down.
Roger that, thank you.stop doing that. thats not at all the right sugars and it wouldn't matter anyway because your supposed to add mollasses for your micro herd in organics, but you can forget any and all organic rules now because your medium to survive must be run the salt based way, no way to keep a healthy biome anymore
Yeah they didn't get a enough nitro in veg. They are also micro plants 2ft tall. Thanks for the advice on the organics - Looks like I'll grab my stethoscope and scrubs now... lolWelp ......
From what I can see ... Very little nitro has been absorbed by plant with a calmag whip topping. In other words sounds like you are running “ bloom “ only instead of “ grow “ Nutes. Red stems are noticeable also.
“ Running organic “ would have been achieved with a good naturally ammended medium .... now you will have to play nurse to the problems introduced by your feed. Also ... take that organic soil with a grain of salt , especially if came bagged. You should always know the makeup of it in case you have to “ ammend “ it. Your ph shows there is nothing to buffer it , and now it is adding to issues.
Yeah we have sticky traps - Going to get some h202 for tomorrows watering.at this point go with h202 in soil and get sticky traps
And,Hydrogen peroxide
Yellow traps ( adults )
Good Air oscillation on plants
Horticulture Sand ( as a blocking on top soil , helps resist egg laying )
Heavy perlite ( alternative )
No overwatering ( gnats love overly wet conditions)
Nematodes
These are but a few options. But hopefully it can help.
Ya, I remember. I replied to it.I am not adjusting anymore after I thread I posted here about pH and was told 7.2 was perfect. See: https://www.rollitup.org/t/my-tap-ph-is-high-and-not-in-a-good-way.1039248/#post-15977504

And,
BTi
EWC
Hypoaspis miles (mine came from the EWC)
Are a few more.
Thank you both. I did get some of that good EWC you recommended Padawan - Hoping it gets here soon. I got Nematodes on the way will be here Wed or Thur.Hydrogen peroxide

No problem. Did you get the EWC on their Black Friday deal?Thank you both. I did get some of that good EWC you recommended Padawan - Hoping it gets here soon. I got Nematodes on the way will be here Wed or Thur.
I think I fucked myself believing the wording on the bag of "organic" soil.
Hard to give advice to someone who doesn't know what the fuck they have... sorry guys.
2nd grow, still learning a lot. I appreciate all the knowledge droppage. Ya'll the best
Yeee boiiiiiNo problem. Did you get the EWC on their Black Friday deal?
Yeah, I feel you bro for sure. Only reason I said ph is cause once you start using bottles nutes and soil mix, you're gonna have to keep an eye on ph. If he was using straight organic, composted, microbe rich soil I wouldn't have said it. It definitely looks like more than one thing which is what made me think ph.hes in organics( possibly not anymore ) therfore adding PH down or phosphoric acid will kill his micro herd
funny cause its usually the opposite lmaoShout to to @PadawanWarrior for being my coach through this run!
What's the deal with sulfur? just a natural pH downer?Hey,
I'd also recommend having some "wettable sulfur" / garden sulfur around. It's...the fuckin' shit. It's very affordable too.
It's good to have options - and/or multiple points of attack (defense?), hah.
It also helps with terpene production. I've been starting to use Langbeinite (sul-po-mag) as a source of sulfur, potassium, and magnesium. I'm trying to be able to just top dress and give plain water, but I still cheat sometimes. What's the deal with sulfur? just a natural pH downer?
