Day 49 - 11/18/2020

It's official Big Bud is the bully of the tent. Pushing its way past any obstacle to get to that light. It's also the closest to the light at about 14 inches, while the others are around 19 inches or so. Just feels like the plant is getting bigger by the day. I have no doubt I could have filled the entire tent with this one plant.

Day 50 - 11/19/2020

No big changes. Adjust the feed slightly. Dropped MC to 3 g/gal, dropped CAliMAGic to 1 g/gal, 1 g/gal of Bud Explosion, and 1 g/gal of Epsom Salts. I had one feeding I mixed up too much of everything I think(was in a rush) and they got fed at 1.8 EC once. I wasn't happy about the mix but I couldn't leave them dry and I didn't have time to remix another 5 gallons. They didn't seem to mind that one feed. Things are back to about 1.4-1.5 EC @ 5.8 pH.

Day 51 - 11/20/2020

Just got the good news that my Timber Fatty VS just shipped and should be here Monday the 30th. Still a ways away but it's coming! Lol, I'm excited but I still don't have the new outlet for it ready to go yet. Also I'm not even sure what I'm going to do with it in the middle of the run. I may take the flowering autos and move them into the 5x5 with the new light and take the two smaller autos and put them in the 32"x32" under the SF2000 to finish. We'll see!

Feed for the big girls is 1 ml/gallon of CAliMAGic, 3 g/gallon of Mega Crop, 1 g/gallon Bud Explosion, and 1 g/gallon of Epsom Salts. 1.5 EC @ 6.0 pH. I think the slightly higher pH will be better for calcium and magnesium uptake. Plus after all those nutrients were mixed up it came out to 6.0 pH anyways.

I always love spotting the first bits of trichome formation. Hope it looks like a winter wonderland by the time they are done.

Day 52 - 11/22/2020

Went through the girls and gave a really good defoliation. Not only is it important for the light to hit those flower sites that were previously hidden or shaded, but continuing to have great airflow in the canopy will help prevent issues in the future. The last part is especially important with a packed canopy.

Day 53 - 11/23/2020

New light for the 5x5 flowering text should be here Friday. Really starting to think I want to move these four girls starting flower into there. Only reservations is them adjusting to a new very powerful light mid-grow. It's probably going to end up happening.

Day 54 - 11/24/2020

Late post today. I didn't get a chance this morning. I forgot to measure the EC and pH of the feed I gave the girls today this evening for their second feed of the day. They each get 1/2 gallon in the morning and 1/2 gallon in the evening. I'm not worried it's the same mix that it's been consistently, 1.4 EC @ 6.0 pH. Every single time with the ratio of nutrients I'm using. I can already tell Big Bud is going to form some incredible colas.

Day 56 - 11/26/2020

All the girls but the Big Bud got a major defoliation. Will be the last of their cycle. Picked off 2-3 leaves off Big Bud but it's looking great.
3 g/gal Mega Crop, 1.25 g/gal Bud Explosion, 1 g/gal Epsom Salts.

The two new autos are doing much better. The Northern Lights Auto got really stretchy early on, and despite burying the stem up to the cotyledons it was still lanky. It's been trained down, but almost looks kinda silly that long and horizontal. :p

Hey 28555, I was checking out your grow and nutes.
Not here to criticize. Just wanted to toss out some nute info of possible help. I only know coco.

"3 g/gal Mega Crop, 1.25 g/gal Bud Explosion, 1 g/gal Epsom Salts."
Here's a breakdown on my silly sheet.

Consider your Ca and K levels.
The MC1part is fairly high in K to start with. Their BE is powerful.

This is a generalized guideline that I find helpful.

New territory for me. Are you still using EWC in your coco?
I had to look it up to see what it contains.

Thank you so much for chiming in. EWC and organic amendments are a thing of the distant past. Just coco and perlite medium.

So based on the chart I'm way high on K vs Ca. Should be closer to 2:1 ratio. Plants seem healthy, so I don't know what should be adjusted if anything? Thank you

Not recommending any changes, just providing some info from direct experience. I've used MC v1, v2, v3 in the past.
Mainly wanted to show the breakdown for the bud explosion, to reveal it's K potency.
(I admit, I would want my Ca around 100, and would use Calimagic to bump it up)

I had serious problems with Mg, Ca, and K in my early days with coco, that's what drug me into all this ppm crap. But now I'm glad I know it.
And I'm still far from perfect as a hobby grower.

Keep rockin that grow!

Again thank you so much for the post. I truly appreciate the input. I had dropped the CAliMAGic mainly because I didn't want any more nitrogen added at this point and I hadn't seen any calcium deficiencies. The Mega Crop does a fantastic job on keeping your crops green, almost too much nitrogen based on what I see.

I bailed on the Jack's early in this grow, I was doing something wrong and I couldn't figure it out. I think it was due to overwatering. By the time the plants were ready for what I was giving them I was back on the Mega Crop feedings, and I have been there since. At some point I'd like to revisit using the Jack's 3-2-1 again.

EDIT: Also I am pretty sure it was you @TintEastwood who recommended this cheap fluid transfer pump, in a different thread for a different use, but it's perfect. Thank you! I only use it to transfer nutrient solution from a 5 gallon bucket to a 1 gallon hand watering container. The 1 gallon container doesn't have a large opening to fill with so the pump now makes it simple and more importantly makes it a clean operation without spillage all over my table!

Day 57 - 11/27/2020

So I'm debating how I want to setup the flower tent. Even if I just want to move these 4 girls in there to finish flowering I will have to figure out something for the drainage. I could set up each plant on a riser above a bucket, but with four large plants in there I'd have to lift each plant and riser off the bucket to dump the bucket of waste out. And if I just move the whole flood table setup in there I won't be able to spread the girls out, so why bother. Something I will have to decide what to do sooner than later to use the new 5x5 tent and light.

Light was supposed to arrive today, but FedEx is by far the worst delivery service available. I've never had anything but issues with them on anything I've ever ordered. Well hoping it's not delayed more than this extra day. The package was in state two days ago but then sent out of state to what I'm assuming is their delivery hub. Oh wait, they updated it again, lmao, says out for delivery for today! =)

Setup of the new Timber Fatty VS 3000k, in the Gorilla 5'x5' tent!

Mid setup
timber_11_28_2020 (2).jpg

Completed - I expected a high quality light from reviews from other owners and the price tag :p . Glad to say I was not disappointed. Top notch quality all around, from safe and secure packing, to quality parts assembled with care and precision. Can't wait to see what I can do with this! Thank you @RainDan! Only very minor complaint is that the dimmer doesn't have markings for where it is set at.

The girls awaiting their new home and light
group_11_28_2020 (2).jpg

My best attempt at taking plants grown in a 2.66'x2.66' tent and filling them up in a 5'x5'. I was able to pull all the outside branches to the outside, but the inside ones I don't have a choice to leave alone. The flood table is only so wide. With a larger table I could have spread things out a lot better, oh well. I will deal with what I have going. With the branches tied down to the table stand they pots are moving anywhere until they finish, much like a SCROG net.
group_11_28_2020 (9).jpg

If the colas get too big and droop then without a net I will have to get some yo-yos for vertical support.
