Could this light be run with 2 of the Meanwell HLG-320H-48B drivers to bring it closer to the actual 650 number? Sorry if this is a dumb newb question. Just trying to decide on a new light and don't want to mess up. The a8, hlg600r, or 2 320 board kits from meijiu is what I am debating between now. I also noticed kingbrite has 320 bar setup but not sure how running two of those would work. I am by no means a master grower and in fact quite the opposite but my current light setup is not enough to cover my space

Yes is your answer. you can run 2x320 drivers and get ariound 700w from the wall. vs the 620 they are selling. Its only 100 more watts so the factory heatsink is plenty. (you would have to cut the connectors that come pre-installed and run it yourself.)
Do i think its worth it? No , not unless you are buying the light bars separate from the drivers. The 600 w driver that comes with them is fine. its not 650 but thats not a huge deal when you compare.

so im planing to buy the a8 650w unit but when i looking on theyre site its feel kinda fishy
1. the driver is mw hlg 600h 48b and as i understand 600w is the max output (corect me if i wrong) they claim its 650w on the header of the site and 630w on the details below
2. they claiming for 1263 umol/m2.s from 40cm high. to me its look too good to be true for that price
3.cant find any grow jurnal or any prove that its worth the money

any way hoping to find someone who have it and tested it or at least grew with it or even someone who understand on led and can check them out for me

sacrifice spectrum ? All them diodes are coming in 80cri.
bro im not expert but i know few things about growing and one of them is people disrespect hid ,they are the closest thing to the sun spectrum and that will affect terpenes and other cannabioids.anyway im not looking to debate or something and i know runing hid in small tent its madness (had few years of exp doing it).

edit: The a8 destroys a 600w hps with the spread. i replaced 2k with 2x650w a8's. So about 1200 watts is replacing 2k with ease.
just few days ago you said you just started with them and u dont have honest review ^^ . the spread is the all point of this design but nobody picks an light only by spread (net for scrog is mach cheaper)

as i understood its all on the same smd so i guess its not an option
It is, I'm doing it now. If the diodes are ran soft enough & spread well, copper backing could be put in place, as well as the rarely seen proper thermal mgnt via heat sinks, then yes, its absolutely doable with UVA.
The timer function is used similar to uvb blasts but with longer intervals.

i would NEVER disrespect HID. thats what i use with great results. I have a tent with only leds 5'x10' with 2x A8 lights....yes that is my first all led run. i dont have an opinion yet....
As far as spectrum goes, we have TONS of research for that. Nothing to debate. you are sacrificing a TON of unused reds. Thats about all i know.

Some of this stuff is very seeable with the naked eye.....no meter needed. The spread is obviously better then any other option. As far as power, you can see the outside getting more power but the inside you would need a meter to get accurate.

That looks like a 6 bar 650w version

Meijiu appears to have the A8 and the F8 similar style lights. one folds in half the other is fixed. i wonder which variant is cheapest.

The F8 have more diodes then the A8

they might be i wonder if shipping is reduced though depending on how each light breaks down into its shipping box.
The a8 is broken all the way down to a couple boxes of bars. im sure they are both about the same packaging also. im just guessing. i got two a8's and they came in 3 "smaller" boxes. 1'x1'x4' ish.
