I am sure this question is asked hundreds of times on here.

I water with 1 gallon per 5 gallon pot during flowering.

How much do you use?
20% run off is a good range to measure by not pot size right now I'm in the gallon per plant range in 3 gallon pots but I wait till they are almost completely dry

Thats about right

Find a dry pot fill it with dry soil

add 20% water ...note the weight

in this case add a surfactant / 2 teaspoons of dish soap

note the volume the surfactant has held?

20% is the average water top up say 2-3 times per week

this does depend on various factors plant age/volume and days temp

good luck

I'm trying to understand why everybody waters so often am I the only one who waters once a week or so? When I move to 5 gallon pots in veg I water about 1.7 gallons {20%runoff} every 5-7 days...In flowering I use 10 gallon pots I water them with 3.5 gallons of water {25%runoff} every 6-8 days...This seems to be quite unusual from what i see most people doing.

During the first few weeks of veg I may water once or twice. But I'm also using 2 liter pots and not 5 gallon. Think in the last month I've water 4 or 5 times if that.

Growing medium plays a huge part in how much you water, I used a lot of vermiculite this grow, it holds a lot of water i have noticed. Temps also, low temps your soil will stay moist way longer.

Damn you re billing it good. 1500 liters daily phewwww:shock: jurassic plants like
I'm sorry bro, does that mean I'm overfeeding or underfeeding? Should I be feeding more?
Should I feed 1 gallon when it comes to flowering stage? Quite a new grower, sorry for noob questions.

Dont know, i was just amazed with the quantity. 1500 liters is too much. Too!
But the author of this thread is watering 1 gallon for 5 gallon pot. 1 gallon is 3800 liters.
Im feeding less than half the amount tho?

Wondering if i too should be feeding 1 gallon?

.

7 gallon smart pots, pro mix hp, feed 2 gallons per plant and get a quarter gallon runoff.
