Day 39 from 12/12
Day 30 flower

Everything's looking good. Been struggling with temps due to the summer heat so decided to upgrade my fan from a 4inch to 6inch, should have done that from the beginning to avoid additional costs.

I was aware I had a calcium deficiency and have been supplementing them since but I'm having some weird leaf yellowing or is this normal at this point of flower? Second and third photo shows the yellowing.

Looks good man, good job. I personally keep running grow formula till about 2 weeks into flower then I taper off. Last 5 weeks I do all bloom with about 2-3% nitrogen. Thats just how I like to do it. You'll figure out your own little techniques.

Thanks, yeah I might do that I've only been giving em the tiniest bit of grow. I noticed one of the plants looked darker than the others and noticed the claw which confused me because they all got the same feed, so I cut back. The same plant seems to have decided to put all it's energy into one cola in particular, at least that's what it looks like. Just hoping for a good yield and excited for the next run.

Got some strange growth on one of the seedlings as well. The adjacent leaf set seems to be growing smaller or slower. Dunno if that makes sense but it's the seedling in the top left.

Day 41 12/12
Day 32 flower

First pic is my strange seedling, kind of growing in a spiral and one leaf smaller, gonna be interesting to see how it grows.
In the flowering tent I've got one plant that looks totally different to the others. The buds are smaller and it's the only plant that burnt. I wonder if I stunted it or it's a totally different strain to what I was told. Anyway all is good.

Starting to chunk up, I expect lots of medium sized buds because of the way I trained her to have so many tops so I wont get those big arse colas, got another 3/4 weeks I reckon to hopefully fatten up.

Any of your leaves begun yellowing up or fading? Dunno if I've got a problem or it's natural. Some of the sides of the leaves are turning purple as well. It's Day 32 wouldn't that be a bit early?

Day 45 from 12/12

This is how things are shaping up. I feel like there's 2 weeks left. Am I correct in thinking that? Some leaves are beginning to yellow and fade with purples coming through.

If anyone remembers I said I had a weirdly structured seedling, check the second pic below. It's growing symmetrical nodes then one alternative node. Has anyone ever experienced this with seedlings? As far as I'm aware seedlings and young plants should have symmetrical nodes until they're mature. Not worried or anything but definitely intrigued. I topped her today so I don't know if that'll change the growth but I'm interested to see what happens.

After doing some reading I came across the term 'whorled phyllotaxy' and I think it has something to do with that. Check the definition below, I'm still unsure because mine has three leaves at a node then an alternate node but I'm pretty certain it's something to do with phyllotaxy. Never heard of it before so very intriguing.

"Phyllotaxy is the botanical term for the arrangement of leaves on a plant stem. The basic leaf arrangements are opposite and alternate (also known as spiral). In the case of opposite phyllotaxy, two leaves originate from the same position on the stem, while in alternate phyllotaxy each leaf originates from a unique point on the stem. Whorled phyllotaxy is an interesting variant where several leaves arise from the same point on the stem."

Thanks, been a while since I did this but I'm happy how it's turned out. Hoping to have achieved a gram per watt as well, will make it feel more worthwhile.
I agree. I've never kept up with my GPW but this run is hands down my best yet. I think I may have too much light for me to get to 1.0 this time haha. More veg and better planning next time might get me there

What you running? You got a journal?

I remember reading about it on my first run but I wasn't really concerned until this run where I was thinking about how shit I did on my first lol

The qb288 is actually meant to do better than a gram per watt I read. Ultimately I'm after top quality bud though so I'll be happy regardless

I dont have a journal going. I just sprinkle pics here and there lol. First grow with qb's and coco. Every time I look in my tent I can't believe my eyes

Strawberry Banana - Complete
The strawberry banana finished a week early due to some unavoidable circumstances. Got 10oz from the 4 which wasn't 100% satisfying but it's a lovely smoke.

Currently - Runtz, Gelato 41, Gorilla Zkittlez
Just topped these lot for the last time and will give em a week or two before flipping to flower. I'll be back when things get interesting.

Grats. Looks really nice.
2.5 oz per plant??? Ouch.
Grab yourself some more light. You've got the growing skills to produce a lot more than that.
Nothing quite like holding your first "monster" in hand...

Best of luck!

Yeah I wasn't too happy. I can't get a new light atm but I thought I'd be alright with the qb288 and Mars hydro ts1000. The clones weren't in veg for too long so maybe that's why I suffered on yield. These ones have been in veg for quite a while now and have been topped a few times so hopefully I can do a lot better with some huge colas like yours. I think I may flip in a week.
