Clone help

If this is the set up you are going to use, maybe cut the solo's in half, easier to maintain moisture in soil & you'll have more head room for the clones.
I've never used "hot" soil for cloning, maybe research this.
IMO, rapid rooters are easier for cloning.
Also, as in one of your other thread on clone help, don't use a heat mat for cloning, heat mats are usually used for seed germination.
Maybe instead of soil in the cups I put them in RR and put them in the cups that way?

Do you guys think this container is good?

Awesome. I followed you and started watching your GJ. Glad to make your acquaintance :-) hopefully this dome will work. Should hold humidity better having 8 cuts in there too. All that soil and the dome being as big as it is. Should hold well.
Thanks very much and nice to meet you too. I've just been checking your GJ out and look forward to seeing how your ladies turn out. I use Hps at the moment, but see a lot of folks using Led now so I'm interested to see how your Led grow goes. Cheers

I'm only using 220W of led. Have another coming soon irs a 540W off the wall so once my new light comes in I should be able to fill my tent up lol. I've progessed man. Went from outdoors. To a tiny 1.5x1.5 to a big ass 4x4 lol

If you use rapid rooters, you wouldn't need the cups, just a tray to catch water, you will need a dome for humidity though.
The reason I don't suggest cloning in soil for people new to cloning is impatience, most end up "digging" for roots, with RR's you will see the roots pop through the rooter.
If you want the easiest, most reliable cloning system, aero cloners, Clone King , is my suggestion. IMHO the best $65 I've spent of my grow gear.

Like I said in your other thread, Patience is the most important part of cloning...... just don't fuc with em' !!

good luck

Edit: clones don't want a lot of light, a cfl, or t5 at about 16" above, with too much light they will want to grow instead of root.
tap water is fine,
no nutes , they are not feeding

Okay man. Let me think on it. I have the patience I wont fuck with them. I want to use the soil method in the cups. And put them in the dome i showed above. I'll probably put soil in the cups. Make my cuts use the gel. Put them in the dome and just leave them alone. Misting 1-2x a day.

Wow, that sounds like a serious Led that you're getting. I really am considering a move over from Hps, although with our seasons it gets a bit cold in the Winter so I reckon I'll still use my Hps for then. Sounds like you're going bigger and bigger, where I've gone from small to big and back down to small again, lol. I miss having a bigger grow space.

So I've made up my mind. I'm going to try and take 8 cuts. (As that is the maximum amount of cups my dome can hold)
I'm going to put soil in solos
I'll take my cuts, gel them and plant them.

I'm going to put the dome in my 1.5x1.5 cabinet. And I'm going to put 1 50W CFL above my dome to help keep temps.

If it were me, I'd cut 1/3 to 1/2 off the top of the solo cups, you need some head room for the cuttings & don't need a lot of soil.
I'd also turn your tote upside down so cups are on the lid & the container is over your cups as the lid.
Again, I'm not sure of using hot soil for cloning, but good luck.

Sounds Good to me, pretty similar to what I do and weirdly I'll be taking 8 Cuts too, 4 for myself, 2 for a friend and 2 just in case. Good luck my friend
