Hello, im New at growing indoor and had some issues with my extraction as it was running full speed and got temps around 40c degrees. The thing is. Im looking to upgrade for a rvk 150mm with dimmer and wanna know whats Best and economic way to set it or should i get the prima klima 125 with temperature control in it?
Thank you all in advance!

Temperate controller or not doesn’t make a difference if you’re pulling hot outside air into the room, invest in a air conditioner for the room the tent is in or a smaller one for the tent

This is actually not so economical...

Im extracting in and out of a window but the thing is that my tent is 0,8x0,8x1,6 meters and the extrator that came is for about 187m3/h. Does the extrator fan that comes with a thermostatic controller hum?

Yes it will hum if its not using a voltage controller , or you could get an ec fan with speed controller like ac infinity.

If you want an RVK to not hum you need a separate variac to control speed via voltage reduction, on their own they are around £50-60
but with a temp controllable one they are around £130+
So by the time you've slowed that rvk down without hum it makes them a bit expensive.

Even if its built in?
It depends on the type of fan, most rvk style fans are ac not ec, ec fans typically are more expensive.
So when you get something like a ram fan with built in speed controller its an ac fan with a speed controller that works on pulse control , for it to have a variable transformer built in it would weigh twice as much and have essentially a house brick size and weight attached. Never seen one on sale.

The ac infinity is a good value EC fan that has lots of positives but one negative is the temp controlled one turns off when temp is lower than desired , which is not practical in a grow room. But the speed controlled version can be turned up and down as needed and wont hum.

As Bukvicak said in the EU they are available from diyleduk.com, he is the only shop to sell them at least in the UK since he imports them from across the pond.

Im thinking about this one but cant seem to find any review nor opinions about it
Im currently searching for info on if its an ec motor or ac motor. I cant find that info.
They do make an ec fan though so I would contact the manufacturer and ask them direct if its ec or ac and while your at it ask them for the decibel ratings too.

Well Just received the email from prima klima and this model pk125tc is an ac fan but they have an ec model the PK125EC-TC. The big difference is not only the prices with the ac being around 120€ and ec being around 220€ is the m3/h the ac moves 400m3 and the ec moves 680m3. Thats a downer because its a lot of Air movement and i only have a 1m2 space. The search keeps going.

Did you originally say your 6" rvk you were running left you with 40 degrees C temps in your tent?

Those AC Infinity fans are fairly widely available in the UK now actually but they sell fast so mostly OOS.

DIYLED, VIVIDLED and that big river site are just a few stockists in the UK

I use RAM fans and have no complaints but would consider the AC Infinity
