Good organic soil mix?

For example.... this is my current grow and she had nute spikes in the soil for the first like 20-30 days of 12/12 and it burned her up!! She is fixed now somewhat. Bud size has suffered significantly. She’s growing under a 150w hps.
first pic is right before flower. Dark leaves. Then suddenly they started yellowing and burning. As soon as I took the spikes out and flushed like 15 gallons through her she has recovered. Last pic is a bud shot I took a couple days ago of a small nugget
This is a pic I just took of one of her colas

I imagine so... but the amount of nutes in FFOF I can't imagine it being able to feed your plant when its mature.. Maybe I'm wrong? A 4 pound bag of Dr. Earth is like $15. So you can get a full set of veg and bloom nutes for around $30 usd. Maybe I'll do a only FFOF in like a 3 gallon pot grow log to see if I run into any issues.
The Dr. Earth looks good man. Get the Bloom and Grow versions if you wanna go that route.

I love using dry amendments, but I wanna control what microbes go in. So I don't use stuff that has certain added microbes. I just like to add my own microbes when I want.

This stuff is a great topdressing. And I mix it with other stuff depending on what I feel like the plants want.

You're main issue's gonna be lack of light. If you want fat buds they need plenty of light.

Were they something like Jobe spikes or something else?

I feel the light issues.. I currently have the light 8 inches from the canopy. The problem was I am growing in a nutrient rich soil... Miracle Gro and had the nute spikes in for the added nitrogen. But it was pretty much all the way through her bud development phase and I didn't do anything fast enough. The plant looks like it'll produce maybe 2ounces :bigjoint: My next grow will definitely be better though. It sure beats my half ounce plants I got from CFL growing lol

If you must use MG soil find their organic line. Natures care Organic is good to use.

The two in the back of the tent were exactly 8 weeks from seed. This is a 5x5 tent, the day i flipped to 12/12

A week later. Those two plants easily take up close to 1/3 of the tent and they have a good bit of stretching to do yet, by the time they are done they will be taking up very close to 1/2 of the tent.

This is the soil I use. I have not given them any nutes and I dont plan to for at least 3-5 more weeks.

I'm using the same soil, it's great stuff. I don't plan on using many nutrients until flowers.

For the seedling phase, I plan on using no nutrients until I transplant into the 3 gallon pot from a solo cup. Then I will mix my compost, worm castings, some all purpose 4-4-4, perlite into a bag of FFOF then fill 4 3 gallon pots with that mix. Ill be watering with liquid seaweed/liquid kelp with molasses in plain filtered water not Ph'd

You are going to add nutrients to FFOF? lol......

Probably not a full 3 months. 3 months is a very long time they will be HUGE. One plant vegged for 3 months would easily fill a 4x4 by itself.
I concur. A three month veg would create a massive plant. I typically veg for eight weeks, and that's a struggle sometimes. With some strains I have to do several toppings and cuts to maintain shape, and other strains I have to limit vegging to six weeks because the plants become way too unruly (my Sour Diesel can easily get to six feet tall and nearly four foot wide with an eight week veg). If I went for 12 weeks, I'll bet they'd grow to 8-10' tall.

I am. Not for the seedling phase. Once it’s about 1 month old I’ll transplant and give more nutes.
FFOF is hot enough to start man. Just top dress after a few weeks.
FFOF is some hot shit. I dont know if i would add anything. Ive never personally grown with it but the stuff i use is similar and it burnt my plants pretty good just straight out of the bag.
Damn Joe, I was in the middle of typing. You're fast, lol.
