Good point. They can't refute it because it is simply not true. I put a lot of time into those posts, gave folks the quotes from their superheroes, and yet I got silence.

Oh well. Silence is at least more civilized than the mental breakdown we have seen on this thread and on the other one :roll:

c: lowering the deficit:both parties have left this subject out with reason.

Importent issues and somehow this country ends up with two men
who lack the skills needed. that's being pretty honest.

Personally, I don't really care which way the media is slanted, because both sides are slanted the same way, towards BIG government.

Though, Leilani, did you hear Obama's little Nazi-esque State Police Rant? How any one can vote for him after that kind of idiotic comment is beyond me. I can't vote for some one that is arguing that we need to establish a State Police or a State Security Force.

There was this mad man who did that back in the thirties, and from what I understand it didn't work out too well for Germany.

Then again, I think you were showing us that you would be the perfect candidate for that kind of position with one of your posts that contained some comment along the lines of ,"On your way," or whatever it was that you said.

I think that democrats are blind to the flaws of their demagogue and are too busy attacking McCain to realize that there are more flaws in their president-elect than there are in McCain. Which is really damn amazing in away...

No, given a choice between Obama and McCain there is no ands ifs or buts about the way any one with any understanding of history will vote.

the hatred flies from both sides and neither seems to cared how flawed their own position is. obama's pie in the sky deceptions combined with his obvious disgust aimed at those who don't cater to the whims of the jealous masses and mccain's embrace of an american way that he has no intention of supporting, both are just playing to the ignorant crowd. when times seem bad the political animals promise change, when times are good they invent threats to spread the fear that keeps us under their thumb.

Brutal, no, I've missed whatever this police state thing is that you are talkinga bout. I googled it, but all I found was the stuff about the Obama camp talking about so-called truth squads, with regard to untrue things being aired about political candidates. And honestly, if we can insist on truth in advertising for consumer products and services, then I think we can hold that same standard for political advertising.

I'm talking about a certain person here, who stated on the Karl Rove thread that Obama's campaign was taking illegal donations from gift cards. I asked for some back up on that claim, because it's kind of a biggie. When that person did so, I found a lot of flaws in the assertion, and for that, at first, I got silence, despite being ridiculed as a dunce in this person's post, and then, when i asked again: hey, you gave me a bunch of flawed links, failed to read the entire article, posted the same articles under different links, etc, then I was really insulted. So? That's what that is all about. Maybe you can figure that out yourself?

So. I'm just like Hitler now, huh? Well, that's one hell of a statement. Explain if you dare.
