I'm avoiding the bad smells conversation. I've worked with some horrid chemicals and in some places that should not have been allowed to operate.
Shame. I would like to know what those smelliest were. Personal worst: triethyl phosphite.

Lookin good Mich. you got me hyped on prepping a few outdoor ladies. Picked up a MTF x black pearl seeds, GG4, and maybe one more.

I have sprayed imron enough times to know what you are talking about. Awlgrip is way worse.
Marine paints are deadly strong
I have literally called a paint job done when the pigeons started dropping from the rafters

I did some work at Gaurdsman chemical. There were birds falling from ceiling all day every day. And we had to incinerate all our clothing at the end of each shift. P.S. Imron has nothing on the polymers of subsequent generations. Sprayed a bunch of fountains and machinery in high chemical exposure environments. Painted my canoe with it almost 30 years ago. Faded but still intact. Tough shit.

I've been asked to share my simple and cheap methods by a few people here and abroad. I'm just sharing my opinion on the hobby. You are more than welcome to share yours. No haters please. I can't type. Am not a photographer. And just want to help others while being helped. So here we go. Current grows. GG4 week6 day 5. Started fattening up finally, Frost is getting pretty. Smell went full skunk a couple days ago. The wife won't let me open the tent without closing the room door now.View attachment 4485458

Just an update on those cuttings. They got transplanted today. I think it was 17 days. I'll take that and 100%. Normally 13-1005.jpg4 in 72 -75F temp. Was only 68-70 this time. Here comes my little walk through.

First thing is be aware and careful of the roots protruding from the cells. Very easy to damage. Very bad. LOL. Also use your misting bottle to mist the bottom of the tray and any exposed roots you see. DO NOT ALLOW TO DRY! Then take your new containers. Styrofoam cups with drain holes melted in them for me. Add your soil mix to the top. My soil mix at this stage does not contain any Orchid potting mix, lava rock or amendments. 006.jpg

Then I use two fingers , in a back and forth motion, to make a hole about 3" deep x 2" wide. Then snip the plastic cells with a pair of scissors. Just on the edge in two places. This allows you to peel the plastic away from 008.jpgthe roots.

Then place it in the hole in the soil. Gently push the edges down just enough to support the plant. Water until runoff with 6.2 - 6.8 water. In two or three days the plant will have been fed and bounce into a full stride.011.jpg
