My plants are in a 6 feet tall tent and I was wondering how tall should I aim for to be? I was thinking 3 1/2 feet to 4 feet mabey In 2 7 gallon pots. How many ounces should I be aiming for ?

Your right on in the height department. Since you wont be letting them veg for very long, I would opt for more plants in smaller pots. If it were me, I'd do 3-4 plants and anything from 3-5 gallon grow bags or buckets, the shorter the better. I'm assuming you have mylar sides so as long as they aren't squeezed against the sides they should get light from all sides too.

I find 4 plants is the perfect number in a 3x3. You have to top and train aggressively into a low scrog net to try to keep the initial height as low as possible. But worst case, supercrop them to stay out of the lights.

So should I use 2 7 gallons since I have only 2 plants? My plant was to mabey clone the one that I'd better in a different tent while others are growing. Like 3 clones off the best plant mabey breed a bit. I'm going to put the 300 watt light on them on saturday. Also I'm going to need to transplant. Should I transplant straight to the 7 gallon pot?

I think 7 gallons would be a waste of soil. If that's all you have use it, but I really think 5 would be plenty for the size that your plants will be getting. I've used 3 gallon mop buckets in spaces that size, but the 5 gallons did better and you have to water less often. Maybe that would also apply to the 7 gallons too. Your not going to have a problem with yield or size with a 5.

I was thinking if I used 7 gallons I could get a bigger yeild and veg longer than if I used 5 gallons. I'd get the same yeild in 5 gallons?

2 plants, 10gal smart pots.

Put the net 1ft above the pots totalling 2 ft up.

Flowered when the plants filled the canopy.

Plants are currently 10 inches from the light and I can't move it any higher unless I take it off the pulleys. getting tight on space

From clones aswell.

Pics are from 2 weeks ago
Nice plants, so is your tent a 3x3? Also it just started to flower? No buds yet. Also should I tranplant straight to 7 gallons? To the big pots

Mine is a 3x3 tent. I'm looking to clone so I'll need a veg tent to. Something smaller ofcourse that wont take up space
I was inquiring about the brand. Just by the off chance it was a vivosun what do you think of it? I was just wondering if the quality was there for the price yada yada....or maybe if you were really happy with your current one, you could point me towards a brand. I'm going a little off topic...

I really think, and sombody with more experience correct me, that in that tent size, 5 gallons of good soil will have all the nutrients you'll need to get everything out of those girls. If they were going to be growing another couple feet taller they would need some extra juice. I have never had a problem with 5 gallons being to small for anything indoors. But if your worried about it and you have the room, 7 will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I was thinking about getting it 3 1/2 tall. This is my first time so I dont know what is right to aim for. I really need to know if I should transplant to the 5s or 7s right away the first transplant.

Just stick them in the 7s. You only have two so you dont need to worry about maximizing plant number, floor space, etc. So the size wont lead to any negatives. If by chance the 5 gallons would end up falling short, then by choosing the 7 gallon containers you've eliminated that possibility. There is a theory about plants being stunted by being in too large of a container, but I dont buy into it. For you and your 2 plants, the 7's sound best. But when you are all done harvesting, check your roots too.

In my production 4x4x6.5' tent with a 1000W HPS, I flower four plants at a time in three gallon pots after an eight week veg. Each plant produces 4 ounces on average (depending on strain... some three ounces, some up to seven).

My perpetual has me harvesting two plants and putting two new plants into flower every five weeks, for a total of 10 weeks of flower (some go a bit longer, some a bit shorter).
