Best Veg LED

What would be the best light for veg stage only for a 3x3x6 tent? I have a seed/clone tent and a flower tent all set up, last thing I need is a veg tent light so I don’t have to sacrifice light in the flower tent.. probably looking around $300 if possible but others may be considered depending on factors, and I’m not buying it so I can’t complain about conditions. Gotten so much great help here, looking forward to seeing what you all think.

My preference would be a 315cmh

But so many LEDs will veg well, even cheap ones veg great.

Maybe a 4 pack of hlg132 v1 in 4k for $109 and a 185h-c1400 with a simple frame.

Where is the tent? Cold basement? Warm interior room with HVAC? Humidity controls?
What are the ventilation capabilities?
Valuable questions when choosing lighting.

Tent in my garage, have temp and humidity control. Tent has small seed/clone tent on top. Ventilation, split between flower tent, not sure the split but more goes through flower tent, maybe 60/40 or 70/30 split? 450scfm inlet (inlet due to ducting because I want air from area other than garage) and 450scfm exhaust.

Might look a bit scattered at the moment, but I’m still in process of permanently installing ventilation and electrical. Tent under plastic is flower tent and has lots of pinholes, thus the plastic. Nothing in the veg tent at the moment. Just took cuttings for clone tent.

Oh yes, that's completely workable. Just had to clarify there were no extreme elements you are dealing with.
Even though, you can definitely VEG with less wattage,
I'm going to say that a 315CMH should definitely be an option.
I keep buying them. I can't stop. I have six...
And I'm a DIY LED enthusiast.

Ok, well 2 votes for a CMH in an LED section, is CMH really that much better for veg? I guess it is now an option

cant really beat bxbes for their price imo

I think my 315 watt CMH might have done a better job veggin then the HLG 550 V2 Rspec (did have the far reds and whites turned down 50% for VEG though)////// The HLG light was great for flower though/

I'd just buy 2 Atreum boards from eb4y or their website, an HLG-185-48B/54Bwhatever voltage those boards are, put em in a frame and call it a day.

This seems like a nice cost efficient veg light for sure.

Yeah, building is what I’m really looking at. Guess now it’s time to find the best place to get parts. I’d really like to build my own board. So buying chips etc...

I hear good things about 4000k 90cri for vegg. This will flower more or less identic to 3000k 80cri. Its a hard to find spectrum, but you could get it by using both channels of bridgelux vesta strips. And it will also flower like a mfer if you use WW channel only and do stretch control with the CW channel. But its diy...

I looked at them again and kind of glad I did. First time I did not see they had 4000k, only saw the 3000k. The 4000k I just need more boards. I still am going to build my own board, but finding something that can last a year or so until I can perfect my own board sounds like a better option than producing a sub par board.

HLG makes a 144 board as well for slightly cheaper for a 4 pack which is what id be going for.
