Hey Guys,
Been trying now for two months to get a clone to root and have been completely unsuccessful.
The strain is Strawberry Guava, and the mother I have is a clone of a friends mother so I know for sure it can be done.
Originally I had a DIY fogger box I made, and I have tried using it as a High pressure fog, low pressure fog, bubbleponic, and just stems in water.
Water PH is 5.5
Temp has been 75 air temp, 68 root temp
I have tried tap and distilled with or without nutes
My light is a 30 watt blue/red/ir bulb in a reflective hood thats about 4-5 feet from the humidity dome, which is just a clear plastic Tupperware container turned upside down, and I have run it at 18/6 and 24 on different attempts
They stay alive, sometimes even grow vegetation, but not a single root.
My current attempt is as follows:
temp 75
light 4 feet above the canopy same 30 watt blue/red/IR bulb
water 5.5 ph with clone food in it at 1/4 the recommended dosage
Using an ultrasonic fogger in a separate box and using a computer case type fan to move it to the root box
I have one of the plant collars just sitting over 3/4 of one of the holes to allow humidity from the root box into the dome
I am currently 2 days into this one so too early to measure at this time. So if anyone has any suggestions about anything I can make adjustments before it gets too late
Thanks for any advice.
