Help getting the best coverage in flowering

Hi guys,
I will run a mini grow box (40"L x20"W x49"H).
3x viparspectra 300
SOG with 8 plants in a 1,7gal with coco. Planning to grow between 6/8" then do a kind of single cola to keep air circulation etc...
My question is about the ammount of red spectrum this light offer. Do you think it will be enought for this setup, in order to maximize yeld?
Or should i add some other light on flowering (cfl, some other led), and what ammount?

Thank you so much, i am really trying to get the best i can out of it.

That light is truly not very powerful. I'd suggest spending some cash on some strips and building a new light. You could use the drivers in your vipars to power them.

Yes this is what i got online, the output spec, and no switch for veg/flow. So anything i can add without wasting too much, which can help me in some way?

As well not very vonfortable building led lights lol

Id return them if i could.

Whats your budget for additions?

Id recommend getting comfy with DIY as its where the magic happens for less money.

Do you have any specific guide/group to suggest me to learn? I will have a month from now and maybe i can arrange something to help.

Not so much, and for what you telling me, i will probably change the lights. But for this first grow i need to get it done at best in someway.

Here on the led forum there is loads of people that can help you. Its not difficult; the main problem might be understanding parallel and series setups and how they differ. With a budget, objective (flower/full cycle/personal stash) dimensions (height width depth) theres usually several around that can help you.

Try watching growmau5 first few vids on youtube but remember we are a few years away from that so thens best chips arent the same as today.

Ok

Try them for a first try, to grt a baseline. They are pretty weak which means easier for a first time grower. When you read up on how to grow remember temps and humidity work different on led and HID (hps etc)

You have 5.55 (ish) square feet.

Those lights are 260w each, you will struggle with controlling the heat and they are not great.
Too much light old bean.

From what im seeing they are around 150 dollars each? You can get better than that for that price..

What country are you in? Might help with recommending something.

You could possibly for now throw in 2x 40w halogen household light bulbs in there and seriously boost your red that way.
Its not an efficient way of doing things but it would cost a few bucks and be easy done.

edit, sorry i was looking at king plus 1500w, the 1200 (fake watt) is 235w each.

I could try return the vipars and get 270$(240€) to spend, or keep tge lights and add halogens around with a yoyo line as you sad

Im with corey, those lights are throwing good money after bad. Surely better than the last but not great.
This is what i would rec for a 4x2 based on own experience:
12 vesta 2 foot vesta strips(or even more if youd like) : heres links to suppliers:

On a 240w driver: id go for hlg240-48A

Find out where you can get cheap aluminium around where you live. Get some 3mm thick, 60mm wide with +30mm fins U-channel extrusions. Or similar measurements. This might be easier thru yellow pages than internet. Euro extrusions with postage tend to be expensive, try some construction/renovations shop.

You would also need some terminal blocks or 8 way wagos connectors, id go for about 4 of thoses.

This will come in under 300euro and flower that space really well, while also retaining some spectrum control as these strips have both warm white and cold white. Its our favorite flower after trying a fair few different things.

Dont Do afraid to diy, its as easy as connecting cables and tape. You just need tobhave the right components and this is done in an aftnoon.

Sorry, i realize i missread your dimensions ...

These are good for a euro build, they will do full cycle, vegg and flower.
https://www.led-tech.de/en/50cm-Alustripe-with-98x-Samsung-LM301B-LEDs-3500k-and-connectors
They have solderless connections so just connecting to cables and tape/glue to some alu extrusions.
Id rec to keep them around 25-30w per strip if you can so around 8-10 for your space.
240w driver should be plenty of power.
Id probably go with hlg240-20A. But the ELG version should work fine aswell. You can also run the 42V version which they have in rhe same shop. Then you would do 2 strips in series, then parallel connection. Maybe even easier with some alusheet.
