Its is, that's what I think he should do. I've done it 2x a year for 10 years and never had a issue running dozens of strains.

I hope other members with a proven record also chime in so I'm not the only person giving advice though. I don't count the other guys who've been year less than a year tho

No they would be fine. A loss of power is not a issue, a sudden gaining of power when it should be dark would be a issue though

I was the one who originally gave him the idea and just wanted to verify it. I say it's fine. And I have been growing indoors for 20 years and have lost power for a day plus during flowering and just resumed normal schedule without any bad effects.

I had this happen 2 weeks ago put my plants next to the widdow tell dark then back to the tent. Un pluged the light from my timer and continued with leaveing it off tell next lights on period
