That's what I was thinkingFive 1000 watt? Those all look like they've not gotten nearly enough light to me... I've seen bushier plants with 300 watt led close... Maybe the light are up too high?
Deficient as fuck and probably bad watering habitsSo I went to a buddy of mine house and he showed me his grow but.. idk what to think. Yellowing leaves and some with brown spots on leaves .. very tall stretchy plants.. he is running 5 1000w de
tell your buddy to get some t5s for early veg. put them close to the plants and let them develop some nice tight internodal spacing...when they have 4 or 5 sets of leaves you can put them under the big de's...right now they're stretching to reach the light, and the ones that do stretch are probably going to get burnt...
oh, come on, we were all tyros once...anyone can learn...lets see if he doesHis buddy shouldn't spend another dime on growing. It would be a waste.![]()
seriously...you use one type of light for veg, and another for flower...the DE's are great for flower, but not so great for veg, at least early veg. get a box full of cfls and some two ways for seedlings or clones, a couple of t5 fixtures, quantum boards, or strips for most of veg, then set one of those d.e.s up separately, and let your plants get used to being under one for a couple of weeks before you throw them under the other 4....which should cover around a ten by ten area real well
Why do some pots look like they have a Ton of perlite and some none at all? And this plant in the bottom right is being held up by sticks? What is happening here. I dont know a ton but I know the smart people that can help what can be helped here from this point are going to need much more info here to help. Strain? Grow medium? Amendments or nutes given? Watering schedule? What's the temp and rh running in there? And I dont see any fans for air circulation. Hopefully they are hanging up high. Any more info will help you get help for your "buddy" lol.![]()
Poor plants.I doubt that there is much anyone can do to help this grow. The grower seems to have spent a bunch of money on equipment and such but neglected to learn anything about actually growing a plant. At this point it's probably a very stressful situation for the grower. If I was the OP I would avoid going over there. It can't be pleasant. And I've found that people that jump in and spend a bunch of money and fail are very hard to help. They'll probably blame the genetics or something but never once look in the mirror to see the real problem.
Five DE's? Oh my. Just shows that spending money doesn't guarantee a successful grow. That look s like coco and too dry. Lights are too high. Plants are starving. Pretty much anything you can do wrong your buddy has done. There's probably no helping him because he probably thinks he knows everything when the fact that he knows nothing about growing cannabis is staring him right in the face.
He might get an OZ out of that entire room. What a waste of money and time. If he's in a legal state tell him to sell his equipment on craigslist and buy his pot from a dispensary. I can't even look at that picture again. It's just too sad.
Its coco. And I'm not sure of his watering and feeding scheduleYellow leaves and dArk purple stem. What’s the medium and what’s the feed? What amountof water do you run into the pot? Never prune a struggling plant
He's has had successful outdoor grows I've witnessed that.oh, come on, we were all tyros once...anyone can learn...lets see if he does
