Best strains for September harvests?

hey everyone, I’m wondering what some good strains would be good to grow in cooler climates? I’m on the 49 parallel and anything past the last week of September will be a struggle as the nights get pretty cold by then... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
 
any good indica dom hybrid with a 8 week finish. mk ultra, dinachem, holy grail, kosher kush, tangerine kush, blue og, chemdog#4, Burmese kush theres quite a few, these are a few I've grown over the years that finish pretty quick, holy grail is interesting because she looks slow then week 5 she explodes.
 
No offense to riu but the outdoor masters seem to be at icmag in the revival thread called R.U.S.T II sativa thread.......prob some of the finest varietals my eyes have ever seen!
 
I have a hard time finding worthy strains that finish in September at 42°N. The further north you go the later they finish I believe. I would check out Oregon Green Seed I honestly never tried them but they have outdoor strains that supposedly finish in your time frame.
 
I just put them into flower around June 15th.Put them in dark every night at around 7pm then uncover at 7am.
Im southern Ab ,the BC forest fires make a perfect orange sun with all the smoke throughout the summer.
 
Trying Sweet God this year by BCBD the claim it finishes mid September. I live in southern Ontario and the falls can get pretty shitty pretty quick. Some years you can go right in to October and then some years gets rainy and cold two weeks in to September.
It's a cross between God Bud and Sweet Tooth
 
I also live close to the 49th parallel but have the benefit of a semi-arid environment with hot summers. I have tried my share of strains outdoors and can say that I'm still searching for a strain that will be fully ready to harvest in September. Anyway, this year I am trying a couple new strains. Both are ready for harvest at the end of August or early September which means up north here along the 49th, they should safely be done by the end of September but I don't expect them to be done earlier than the end of the month.

One thing I can say is a lot of Canadians have our hopes this year on "fast version seeds" and I've looked at a few of the grows u can find through Google and most finish still in the 55-60 day range. These strains would normally be 9-10 week finishers, but the breeders managed to knock off a week maybe week and half of that is what I've come to conclude over a winter of reading about "fast version". So most will still hit that 8 week mark to finish in first to second week of oct. I think the name is very enticing but buyer beware of being mislead by the word FAST just means faster than normal
 
The start of flowering is the important part, a 10 week flower can finish if it starts early enough. Too many look at the over all flowering time which is useless for the most part outdoors.

If something flowers in 8 weeks, but doesn't start flowering until the end of August....

Gotta look for the early flowering strains.

This is exactly right,can not get that from the advertised flowering times.
 
An option that should be considered is light deprivation. You can start the plant flowering whenever you want if you also stop the light it gets after 12ish hours. Lots of guys use light deprivatoin to begin the flowering process early and be able to finish the strains they want in the right amount of time. You need to remember when you do this that it will still usually take 1-2 weeks for a plant to actually start to flower, so you should plan for that.

That’s really what I’m thinking of WANTING to do to help ensure a great harvest. Any idea of just how costly it would be to black out a 20ftx6ftx7 of 8ft high? I’m assuming it’s fairly costly and really important no light leaks? Also, after the sun goes down, you take it off I assume
