New mini split doesn't seem to be working right

Id honestly get a wired wall thermostat and mount it high up on the wall that remote I had almost ruined everything
Ya I'm going to look into that. The timer options on the remotes suck for the most part anyways, thankfully mine has a 12hr on/ off option. Did you wire it yourself?
Also did you have a faulty remote with a shit signal, what went wrong with it, if you don't mind me asking?

It was a Lennox which is supposed to be a really good brand and it had a faulty remote I would say because the heat either stayed on full blast or the AC stayed on full blast because of it ever since they hooked up the wall thermostat it's worked perfectly

Wow thats fucked up...so you had whoever cover the cost of thermostat wiring because there was a faulty remote...

I just replaced my mini with the same brand but I went 3t .
It worked good for 24 hours then crashed .
1st thing I’d do is get a controller to shut off lights if it fails again.

They ended up having to change the remote wire to a lot thicker gauge to get it to work right .
There is also a wire that can be cut if it’s a cool only model , that could be the problem.

If all else fails call the company tell them your remote is faulty and that you want a wall mount thermostat they're very easy to attach to unit...
For sure, it has a warranty, think I'd go the route of having my electrician or HVAC buddy doing it over some random person that works for Daikin. They'd probably shit coming into a 4000w bloom room! Haha lol.

At least you got it worked out man...I'll keep you guys posted this afternoon. Lights turn on at 5.
can i ask where u are ... if u are running open hoods ........u could drop the cooling cost with Cooltube hoods (it lowers the btus to 3000 per light instead of 4000)

set up a cross vent with it pulling air from outside and dumping back outside ( the RH is the only factor if u are in a area where it is not crazy 80 95% all the time it will work ....but if u are like me in colud layer it will make the bulb blow )

I'm running 6" air cooled raptor hoods. Not cooling them at the moment, I used to though. I'm actually ditching the raptor hoods and am going to run the large open adjustawings now that I have the minisplit up and running.

Open hoods are the way to go I used to love tubecooled but couldn't imagine a large setup like that since you have to move the lights all the time and the ducting make things awkward not to mention each time light passes through glass it loses and fractions the light

i have run open hoods now for 2 years with this grow partner we have lost 2 crops due to lights blowing ( i refused to sell or use it and took the whole room and trashed it ) mopped and steamed cleaned the room

if RH gets to high boom and the whole crop is wreched (unless your a ass and will sell killer smoke not the good kind)

the RH is fairly high if coastal inland u are good

do not ditch them look at this one
https://www.amazon.com/iPower-Inch-Cool-Reflector-Light/dp/B00BDGHIBO

i loved this hood when i was HIDs it did a whole 5x5 perfectly
I'll keep them for another grow down the line, but I already bought 2 open large adjustawing hoods to see how it goes. Time to say bye, bye for now to my good ole raptor a/c hoods, going to miss them... they've been good to me and it's been real. Lol.

Lights just went on and all seems to be good with ac...put it on auto and on 70f. I'm going to keep an eye on it periodically.
