Shit sport.....I got calls from folks the next day..."Are you going to lower your prices, now that it's legal and there will be over the counter sales?"
Yeah right - "HELL NO! Are you kidding me? It will take 2 years for the state to sort that out. The very few disp. open now and coming down the road will be unable to keep it on their shelves and can't buy but from the VERY few state certified growers!
Not to mention that the prices there will be stupid high and stay that way...Even you wholesale guys will re-sell for less!
Thing is it will take 30 days for the election to be certified and then 10 days from that for the law to take effect.
The real winners (at least for a bit) will be the grow shops!
Stupid law, now says everyone can grow 12 plants.... Republicans regain control of the state....That will go down hill FAST...

Now the good news is that the governor is talking about exspunging the past records of all minor MJ "criminals". WOOOO FUCKING WHOOOOO! She does that, and I can apply for a legal grower lic. and I'll go the big 1500 plant one too!
Make a corporate name....bury it in holding companies....

What a lot of the guys don’t realize is the fact that once tax is applied guys like us will still be much cheaper. I simply hope they get everything right and put the tax money into roads and schools like it’s supposed to.

New to rollitup. Live in Michigan, in the licensing process with the state. Just found out this morning we are in phase II, of the second part of a three part application. (ridiculous process) We have been at it for almost 2 years. Own the building, finishing the remodel, ready to open. The way the state will handle rec licenses is that you need to have a medical provisioning center license for 2 years before being eligble for a rec license.
Congrats TO US IN MICHIGAN!! I am stoked the laws are changing and with Sessions gone, could this be one step closer to federal legalization.

Nobody buys weed when it's legal. They grow their own or friends will give it to them. Top shelf could be $100/oz and free weed will still taste better..

This green house, we grow in a custom soil medium we have been developing over the last 30 years. This is an outdoor greenhouse. 100% natural light. Winter we grow indoor under HPS same medium.

Obviously somebody must buy the weed. Every time I visit Cali, Vegas, or Colorado, I stop in a dispensary and they’re always busy. But maybe it’s all tourists

There's a whole customer base out there who will pay money for garbage and act like it's the best stuff around. Hell half the weed store shoppers think black market growers are scum and that a dispensary who opened this year invented Blue Dream.
Better hope they don't go after grow rights. Its two seperate worlds, guess which one the corporate sponsored government is interested in? Not your world..

There will be plenty that will be buying. There’s more than enough people that either don’t have the means to grow or couldn’t keep a catus alive much less grow a majestic plant such as the one we love to grow. Then there’s the ones that simply don’t want the hassle.

On a slightly related note, over a year ago I was sent to MI for work for 3 weeks, and one of the many things I found novel about the general Detroit metro area, grow shops at every damn strip mall. EVERYWHERE. Similar to CO green leaf signs at every damn strip mall. EVERYWHERE.

I am still messing with the city I live in trying to get the city council to realize any fees are counter productive to keeping personal grows legal. All cities in Cal. can enact their own fees, however they have to be "justifiable" or they are considered an illegal tax.
