Illicit Cannabis doesn't exist NOW....how can it?

If you can grow it legally now in most provinces......and you can gift it now as well. How can there be any illicit cannabis?
If Joe citizen is now allowed to grow his own, and he gives his brother an ounce. How is that illicit?
So what judge is going to find you guilty of having homegrown cannabis. Unless they can find a direct sales trace to it I say there is no illicit weed anymore.
Where am I wrong on this ?
I'm aware that they think BM cannabis exist....but where exactly?

I agree, makes me want to drive every where I go with a qp under the back seat in a large zip lock. Cop asks if I have cannabis, yup.if he wants to fine me and seize it, yes sir. Show up at court with grow registration and sue them for stealing my medicine which I value as the same price as top shelf LP product. plus taxes.

Technically it could be considered illicit for the first 4 months imo. The time it would take to grow some from Oct 17th. Because also technically you wouldn't have any legal flowers until they could be grown.
So if a cop says to you " so you have illicit weed eh punk "
You simply need to say " no sargent stadanko, that's my own grown weed " nothing to see here.......no move along as your stinkin up my personal space. Unless you live in a province with no home grown rules...then you may be raped downtown at the station.....just for fun.

Remember though your only allowed 1 ounce in public....unless your medical....then it's 150. Plus 30 rec....dunno that one.

In Ontario, from what I understand, all seeds & clones MUST be purchased from OCS or its considered illegal. I think ALL pot from LP's is considered legal, but anything we medical users grow has to be purchased legally. So is cannabis legal? Really?

Hey, welcome to the community. I think this is going to be a very contentious issue. I look forward to see how this will play out. If LP pot has seeds in it, that could throw a twist into the interpretation of the law. Stupid laws.

Your talking small potatoes, 30 grams or less and a couple beans. Who cares? They are after big players in the game who are moving heavy weight, grows way over the legal limits, it’s got to come from somewhere and people are greedy, selling to minors etc. People are dumb and will always get caught breaking the laws.
