A 5x5 area ya can put a 600 or 1000 watter in there. 5x5 is based on growing area.

400w cover's about a 4x4.
5x5 will push it a lil but you only doing 3-5plants.

Go 400w unless you want to do a 600w then if so do more plants

HTG Supply great place. 400 watt should do a 4x4 area like they said so 5x5 i'd do a 600 watt lamp and keep it 30"-32" away from top of plants

senor sant..... so this is plug and play or not???? do i need 2 wire anything or i could recieve this in the mail walk 2 my closet, plug it in, and hang n watch... or would i have 2 wire anything or make a pvc pipe melectrical mount or what?

All you have to wire up is the plug that goes into the wall. The light you buy comes with 3 wires sticking out of it. You can use any three prong electrical cord for it. A 3 prong electrical cord also uses three wires. You simply match the colors of the wires, solder them together (or twist together and tape up), and youre good to go. Couldnt be simpler.

I agree with a few of the other posters. HTG supply is a great place, they have a storefront on ebay and all the transactions remain private. I just got a 400W HPS/MH with an air cooled ballast, and recieved it in about a week out here on the west coast. Excellent people to deal with.

Going in my new tent... 36"W X 60"H X 20"D....

Check the last pages of my grow for the pictures of the home made tent...

Go big... you will not regret it...

I was thinking about a 400 so I went with the 600...

Next time I want to upgrade, I don't need a new light...

If you have your ventilation absolutely dialed in...
If you have a cooltube with a strong fan dedicated to the light...

then you could... but you have to be sure you have it right before you leave it unattended... you don't want a burnt tent/plants or fire because you "thought" your fan was strong enough...
