I have to disagree with you as far as the quality. I have seen in one bag out of 50 the mushroom issue. My plants still grew great right with the mushrooms. Here are some pics from a grow using it perlite and some other ingredients.let me be the first to tell you know. SHIT SHIT SHIT. i hate it with a passion. its so horrible, and left mushrooms growing alll up in my shit.
Thats what I want this summer. Amend patio plus with Garden Tone and perlite, worm castings, later Tomatoe Tone and banana tea. Cant do it now cause its too cold.View attachment 1028817View attachment 1028821View attachment 1028833im growing in kellogs with a 30% pertalite right now, my neighbor used it last year and had awsome results, i think the yellowing is from overwatering or nitrogen. i just foliar fed them with some fox farms big bloom ,and laid off the water for a couple days hopefully it does the trick.

u forgot to mention the gnats an root aphids that come free in every bag LOLIt works great for planting flowers in containers for your patio.
Your plants will do fine in veg it's when they start to flower when you'll start having issues. I see people posting nice looking pictures of plants in veg growing in patio plus. Lets see some pictures four weeks into flower. That's when the problems start. The stuff is loaded with poultry manure which is loaded with nitrogen. Those nice looking plants will likely start having issues once they start to flower and their nutrient needs change. I wouldn't use it for cannabis.
INGREDIENTS: Aged recycled forest products, aged rice hulls, composted poultry manure, perlite, peat moss, hydrolyzed feather meal, dehydrated poultry manure, dolomite & oyster shell limes (as pH adjusters), bat guano, kelp meal, worm castings.
I too would like to see flowering photos as well.It works great for planting flowers in containers for your patio.

I'm just curious. Why not just adjust fertilization etc when it starts to flower to avoid any problems? It works great for planting flowers in containers for your patio.

Quality control is the baghouse complaining to the loader operator that the splinters are poking thru the bags.I dunno, it’s not the best and not the worst. I’ve always thought for the price it’s not bad, but I feel like there isn’t much quality control, as I’ve seen a lot of variation in the product year by year.
The amount of time they compost the piles at the yard where they pack the dirt seems to vary, as you can smell different stages of the process, and occasionally too much ammonia. That means a fresh batch where the nitrifying bacteria hasn’t been able to break the ammonia down into nitrites, which in turn have yet to be broken down into nitrates that your plant can readily uptake. Nitrites and nitrates are pretty different.
