I’ve started dry trimming so I don’t have to do it all at once. I do it the super lazy way, dry it and cure in an ice chest then trim as I need to lol

Because I hate trim jail!
dont blame ya man, im thinking about staggering my tents so its not all at once.

Cheers to another great season :hump:
You were thinking at some stage to try rockwool cubes, what happened with that idea?

If You have time, could You send me that link to better air exchange in small coco pots vs big pots , that we were talking about a while ago ? Thanks :)
cheers T! ah yeah, here ya go. reminds me of @Prawn Connery wonder if its him? https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=241341

oh yeah rockwool, its under the stairs! i do really wanna try the 6 inch cubes with the floraflex tops. seen massive yields from 6 inchers drip fed multiple times a day...its mad.

Nice to see your back, hope you had fun on your travels. Some nice strains, be nice to see how they turn out.
thanks zypher. hope ya well. Travels were wild haha! central america is gorgeous

hows the garden? i'll have a look this eve after work.

i need to build a two level 3x3 for a bonsai mum/veg tent. need to find a simple table/frame/scaffold type thing for a table/second level, im probably over thinking it. did you ever do anything similar? remember you mentioning it a while ago.

Haha! No, not me. I started growing like that in about 2004, so a few guys have copied my style over the years. I used to have my own grow site called planetganja.com and had loads of stuff on there, but alas, it's gone :(

@lukio, yeah just finished installing a second shelve this morning but made it a tray out of 18mm plywood then lined with heavy duty pvc pond liner. Will eventually turn it into either a flood n drain or bubbler. Just cut my quantum board heatsinks in half and spread the panels out some what for more even canopy, just screwed those to the roof these are running at 300 watts max. Will be sticking some strips under the tray for bottom area. So 12.5sq ft grow area is now 25 sq ft just hope it works as planned lol. Will post a new diary once complete.

whaddduppp @Moflow 'er!

hows the garden mate? still on the tomato feed and alibaba? im just about to order a couple boards for a mate from there. they wanna charge him, and i quote -

"If 2set FoLite-240H-2 in 3000K with A driver,

the total cost as below:

usd138.55*2=usd277.1

Freight cost usd101.28

Alibaba charge usd11.35

total cost usd389.73."

From a lovely lady called "kitty wang" couldnt make it up! or maybe she has...she's from Meijiu co

Does that sound about right? they're meant to be the LM561c. he cares not for the latest and greatest. Thanks man!

@ChefKimbo Thanks bro! appreciated. looking forward to growing and posting some new strains! hope youre well.

@WeedSexWeightsShakes ah bugger! did you hash it? thats life huh...im rented too...its such a pain! yeah Megacrop all day dude. i cant see past it at the mo, what you using?

@Randomblame Thanks bruh! Ahhhh man, how annoying is the driver going wrong now!! hopefully the plants dont freak out too much. how long until you get a new one?

Yeah im thinking about trying to reduce flower time with the pucks, think i'll give it a go! will try additional red for germination next time, nice one! I planted 36 and ended up with only 28 so theres a lot of room for improvement (:

At least untill I get the new driver. It's dimmed down to minimize the flickering, its almost invisible now. It's a bit less light(25w/ft²) but it's anyway hot here at the mo so I can life with it.
Yeah, 28 out of 36 is less than 80% but it's probably not your fault.
In the past you could expect fresh seeds every year, today there are so many varieties that sometimes they laying in the stores for years ... under bad storage conditions. Choosing most popular varieties can be beneficial because they produce more replenishments and you can expect fresh seeds with 95% germination rate.
Almost always when I have chosen a non popular strain that is used less often I got bad germination rates. I once got 10 AfghanKush from Sensi White Label, supposedly fresh, but got 0 out of 10...,lol!

Hell yeah! Great read! It will take me a while before I'll read it all but should be done in a week or two :)
I already downsizied the pots before reading this noticing my 3gal pots weren't anywhere near packed with roots last time. Downsized to 2gal and see how it goes.

If You have all the gear sitting there, what the hell You're waiting for :cuss::dunce::fire::bigjoint:

Nike...

interesting! looking forward to seeing it. would be pretty sweet if you can manage two crops in one tent...whats your total head height? how do you stop the heat from from the strips under the tray cooking the roots above? got a no stretch strain? got so many questions hah

so true! 0 outta 10...jheeze! arent there chemicals you can add for really old seeds?

Hell yeah! Great read!
yeah man some great info in there (: im thinking about doing a SOG (sea of green) with 4 litre pots...the same guy has a SOG thread but its not a great diary due to family issues or something. i really want to try high plant count/low veg time, over big ish plants to see which yields more...

@diyled thanks mate. i'll dig all my lights out next week and see whats what.

Multi feeds a day and small pots are great but theres a downside to them. When your pump dies you'll have only a day to replace it unless you'll hand water. That means you can loose a crop when being on holidays.

I'll keep some spares just in case ;)

@lukio the filter and fan are both in the loft, fan pushing air into filter. Will be making a box in the loft to house filter and fan ie lung room and it can vent to another room. If your vegging in the tent then you will have ample room, if using strips or 120/132 quantum boards, no heatsink on the baby quantums so shaving an inch of the height. Just think it over as the style of lighting is the main design concern I reckon in limited height cabs. I will be going over to strips 100% just for light spread and being able to get the strips closer without risk of bleaching or burning in flower. The quantum boards I find produce hot spots down the centre of the canopy when height is limiting, as seen in my last grow with the scrog plants, not something I want to fight against. Just trying to use the space I have the best I can. If it works I will only need to flower in it once a year.

Need any more info or just want to bounce ideas feel free, always an evolving game this led lark lol.

thanks dude. hmmmmmmm ive always sucked through filters with them inside the tent...is there any disadvantage to blowing through them? no smell leaks? ive noticed the acoustic ducting looks perforated...or is that just mine?

man, why am i not doing this? i hate having the filter and fan inside the tent...i could loft it all.

Yeah strips look like the way forward i guess. which are the best ones? @diyled

i like the large strip bars that greengenes has made too, very nice indeed.

@lukio for pushing air best bet is PVC ducting less noise and no leaks. That's on my to do list also. Pushing air is fine just put the carbon filters pre filter inside the unit. No negatives doing it and saves shit loads of space.

@diyled cheers m8 looking forward to running these, hopefully using them in confined spaces will work and show others growing in closets etc that they have other options now. Will pop a diary up when the kit arrives and post it on various forums.

nice one cheers guys.

6 inch PVC is pretty expensive isnt it? @zypheruk

Home a lil early. plants are alive and i have a new camera.

The triple black raspberry best be a chick.

also have some free time over the next few days to put up tents and pot up the lil ones as none of my clones have rooted...they seemed to have dried out while i was away....so started building a 32 site aero cloner.

Having owned and operated an aeroponic cloner for years, I can safely say I get better results in soil.

I'm sure it's operator error but even at that, just missing the cover once a day is pretty low effort.
