Afghani or number 1 skunk is always my favorites you can t get too much of either of these strains. I feel they are the building blocks of many great strains. I just sprout 10 reg beans and grow for 5 weeks flip to 12 and 12 and use the best looking male and female. I then keep the original female as a mother and back cross the new seeds one more time back on the original mother. I ve had great luck with this. I always try to breed with parents that have similar guality s I m trying to get. Keep it green....

Well. I got a couple of Spliff's Afghani #1 seeds & was thinking of doing a few KC Afghani Specials and cross them to get some viable seeds.
I thought that a 2 way cross between different Afghanis might produce a nice & rich pain numbing indica. I've never done pollination yet, but read a lot about it on here.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

are you indoors or outdoors?

I'm indoors, got a small tent, 6'x 4.5' x 4.5. Decent enough size for my needs.

im outdoors, just makes pollen chucking easier with more space, its good to cross as many types as you can in a chuck cos 1 type may not end up being any good, not all gene combinations are suitable, eg last season i chucked approx 5 different female strain types to 2 different studs(1 Mosca C99 male/& 1 Irie Cookie Stomper male), 1 stud type was suitable, the other not, so all the offspring from 1 of the stud types were not up to standard, if i had relied on just that 1 dud stud type my whole breeding season would have been a loss...but indoors i know you can really only do 1 type at a time unless you quarantine off another area

Yeah, space is at a premium here. I've read some of the grow diaries from outdoor & guerilla growers and its great stuff.
I haven't the option of doing that, really paranoid about attracting unwanted.unwelcome attention. At least growing in allows me control and security.
I like reading a lot on here and growweedeasy. Some sound advice from experienced growers.

absolutely with you on the security issue man, gotta be as careful as possible, RIU has been a a game changer for me with finding the real killer genetics, eg just look at attitudeseedbank & see the myriad amount of strains on offer, how does a person find the true topshelf gear? trial & error would take a lifetime or...just go to the 'seed & strain reviews' thread on RIU and see what the main types people are growing there, forget high times magazine cos a lot of their top strains are sponsored by big companies & not necessarily the actual best at the moment, the real deal being grown out by people who know their shit with no time to waste on B grade genetics is found in the 'seed & strain reviews' thread!

I never read High Times, from what I did see of it, thought was an in-house mag for the industry & really had little relevance to a small fry like myself.
I like it on here as I can read posts from others with a similar problem without making my own posts and making a complete arse of myself. A lot of growers with many years experience, I've got a few grows done, but something always happens that didn't the last or next. Get my stuff from a UK seedbank as I'm in Europe & never had any issues..

I been wanting to try some other strain from kc brains...
The KC 39 is one variety that getting info about is like finding hens teeth. All the description says its an indica seed he got from a 'Spanish friend' and crossed with his KC606
His web site is, lets say 'rudimentary & doesn't give a lot away..
After a lot of searching I read someone sussed that this Spanish hippy brought it him from Northern India, so IMHO it 'should' be a N.Indian hashplant type. I thought in my quest for the 'Ultimate Indica' it might prove to be a worthwhile experiment.
From what I've read, the KC36 is a re-worked White Widow and an un-named strain.Seemingly he likes to work with Brazil & Thai genetics.
The Crystal Paradise looks interesting too, Californian Big Bud Skunk x Brazil.
Always interesting to read posts regarding his gear, some people have had bad luck, but guerilla growers hold his genetics in high esteem..bongsmilie

glad youLeda Uno made it through ok, i bought it after it won a cannabis cup in 2002 i think? i grew it but unfortunately termites ate its roots out just as it was starting to bud...damn, never got to see what it could do
I had ledo uno liked it but then I grew tnr and kc33. Both great strains. Crossed both strains with a drought resistant sativa called sweet sativa. Both strains have very big buds and thai smell. Cheap seeds that produce great product.

I'm doing a Brains Choice ( Leda Uno/WW x Jamaican Lambsbread) and Crystal Paradise (Brazil x BB & Californian).
I'm amazed at the speed and rate they grow..
Well pleased ! :weed:

Yeah, a few of my seeds were given to me by a friend but I bought some, California Special and DD. I'm doing some of Mandala's Ganesh and Safari Mix, Ceres Skunk and some CH9's HPxG13x Vintage 2006 at the moment, along with the Mangos.
Am just growing small time for meds I need for pain relief,. I haven't done any Nirvana before but I've been tempted by their PPP and Raspberry Cough.

This is an old post but I was wondering how the ceres skunk worked for you?
