The hate was never this strong or vile. Find me one person who is/was not hated and I'll show you a liar. Even Christ had his share of haters. Much of Trump’s support is the revenge of the idiots. Revenge of the “victims” of educationalism, of the discrimination against the stupid (yes, that’s a thing). In Trump’s post-truth era they too can be “critical thinking intellectuals”. To admit they are wrong about Trump requires accepting their own lack of intellect, lack integrity, and low intelligence. Being wrong in their book, being fooled so hard, means they are “a failure and always have been“, they should be disgusted with themselves, be ashamed and embarrassed (which they should, but only temporarily). They rather double down again and again. It’s like with flat eartheners, they rarely deconvert after becoming “woke”.

To make it ‘safe’ for Trump supporters to come out as idiots, the non-idiots would have to make being an idiot acceptable, make being dumb something not susceptible to ridicule, which sounds like a good recipe for Idiocracy and for idiots voting for an idiot like Trump. Catch 22. bongsmilie

i didn't hate him when he wasn't the president, because he wasn't doing any direct damage to me, he was just hurting people stupid enough to do business with him. now he's hurting people, not only all over the country, but all over the world. good people, who weren't stupid enough to do business with him, and don't deserve it.
being a greedy, thoughtless, bigoted piece of shit is annoying, but ignorable, in a private citizen. you can refuse to do business with them, you can advise other people not to do business with them, you can even boycott their businesses.
when that same greedy thoughtless bigoted piece of shit becomes a public official, it's beyond annoying, and there's no way you can ignore it.
