HELP! I think my weed may be laced with GLASS

This may be me being paranoid but I bought off an unfamiliar dealer (I'm in the UK so it isn't legal yet). The weed looked unusually crystally to me. I googled it and it said it may be laced with crushed up glass to add weight / make it look like it has more crystals.

I tapped a bud until some of the crystals fell off on to a disc. I rubbed it round with my finger and it appeared to scratch the disc, which shows it's glass according to the website I saw, as they said plant material won't scratch the glass. However, after wetting the disc and rubbing the marks, most seemed to come off. I still think it's quite suspect. most of the visible scratches came off, however, there are still some permanent scratches I can see when I place the disc directly underneath a light source.

Please take a look at the pics attached and tell me what you think.

I will be smoking this through a vaporiser, will it be dangerous to do so?

Take some, grind it then put it in a clean stainless steel pan, bake it in oven until it's ash. Grind it up and then rub on a piece of brand new glass(mirror will do) if it scratches you are got fucked

Thanks man, appreciate the help. What do you think by looking at the pics at first glance? just curious
 
Best way to make sense of it is to heat it up.........pot will burn up to ash, glass will still be there.
 
ive heard of this before. its called grit weed, well thats what ive heard it refered to as.

try looking under a microscope, ive heard multiple theories and claims one being the crushed up glass like you said but the pictures of what you showed look pretty normal to me.

second thing ive heard is silica or magnesium (epsom salt) and some other substances. there is a test you can do, burn a small piece of it like mentioned and when you smear it if it scratches or leaves a oily smear mark then it is contaminated, if not then i think youre fine but looking at the pics i think its pretty ok. try to smoke a bowl and if it does something like in the video id be suspicious

 
Right I'm just trying to figure out even if it is glass dust in what way would you be vaporizing it off? No way your lighter eould burn hot enough to do that. I mean are you shaking the nugs around in a tupperware and inhaling the dust? Would it even make a dust? Is this really even a problem you should be concerned about outside of being shafted on weight? Screw all that noise. Load a bong rip and pass on that dealer next time.

You should probably post a couple more pictures to help us help you. Probably include a few of your mom too.
