This must be some Russian plot to corrupt our youth and cause Reefer Madness. Why does Trump want lower pot prices?
THe math I have done is each pound is about 100 in electricity 200 in labour about 300-450 in location and 150 in gear, plus supplies 0-whateverHome grown costs me about $10 a zip, excluding any labor or depreciation on gh or equipment. Say maybe $5 per zip in depreciation expense, which is high because I don't use all my space. Labor I've never tried to quantify due to blurry lines on how much is necessary and how much is just me having fun hanging out. Maybe 5 minutes per day per plant average for 6 months, plus maybe 12 hours per plant trimming? That gives me an estimated labor per plant of about 27 hours, say $15 per hour for a labor rate estimate, and that is about another $20 per zip in labor. So all in I'm at $35 per zip for hobbyist home grown value estimate.
Where do pros growing in fully packed greenhouses come out on COGS for a zip? How off are my labor assumptions?
So $45-$55ish per zip. My labor estimates are swags. How much lower can the costbasis of a zip go with economies of scale? Let's assume hand trimmed top shelf buds, I'm not including larf or oil processing in my numbers. Let's assume indoor or greenhouse grown. Any guesses?THe math I have done is each pound is about 100 in electricity 200 in labour about 300-450 in location and 150 in gear, plus supplies 0-whatever
I honestly cant see to much time being saved with scale, unless you use big ass fancy machines like trimmers that willl save you 40 bucks in labour but add manning the machine and the cost of the machine 10,000 plus. Or you could get an auto potter 12,000 plus plus maning the machine to save 100 in labour. So $45-$55ish per zip. My labor estimates are swags. many(most) people do not have the ability to grow their own top shelf. Many home growers spend more $$ trying to grow top shelf (and never get there) than if they just purchased. How would your production numbers relate to 100+lbs?...200,300?Home grown costs me about $10 a zip, excluding any labor or depreciation on gh or equipment. Don't know, that was what I was wondering. Assuming big grows can be more efficient than me on pretty much everything.many(most) people do not have the ability to grow their own top shelf. all the commercial growers I know lab test everything.....I think the big commercial grows won't worry about PM and bugs because they'll be spraying boat loads of poison on their ditch weed, that will save them time.
pm me.....I buy weed and give it to my pet tortoise frank. He's such a burn out
Doesn't everything get better when it's irradiated lol.And besides, once big money is in the game, all sorts of poisons will be allowed. Look at canada, they have 21 approved pesticides and are adding more.
Of course, canadian lp's can't even keep that sraight, and keep getting busted for contaminated grows.
And they can even irradiate their harvests. Makes it safe they say.
I grow weed to feed it to my worms, I call them Harrold.I buy weed and give it to my pet tortoise frank. He's such a burn out
