Thanks for the compliment. My photography is starting to make noticeable income so...

Yeah I can dish it out too, that's not my beef. I'm just resisting what I see as an RIU paradigm shift in process.

We seem to be shifting from healthy political polemics, to personal dramas from other sections. I'm used to the bad trolls and sock puppet racists. This is an actual popularity contest. I don't like it.

Nah this subforum has always been about ad hominem horseplay. That's one of the main reasons I burnt out modding here.

No, not "most of us". A few mount (at least an effort at) a rational argument. But if you want a feel for the stats, try modding here some time. It taught me that 90% of the posting on here is either a c&p of something inflammatory or a shot at the messenger.

It inspired me to abandon conflict. :joint::bigjoint:

That's the first time it has ever been suggested I mod here. I probably wouldn't be any good at it, I'd be ban happy and anyone suspected of making a sock would be gone way too fast such that I'd probably hit bystanders.

As for my handle, it has more to do with my attitude at the time I made it, that we should simply redeploy all troops home without regard to the notion that we had to continue simply because lives had been invested. I've never been a pacifist, although I did try to embody some tenets of that philosophy briefly.
