Very weird structure on these strawberry sour diesel x candyman haze plants. They were all started from seeds I crossed myself and finally have made it into the flower room for final bloom phase. They were vegged four weeks and then flipped to determine sex. Then once they showed pistils they were transplanted into 3gal pots & placed back into the veg tent for 3 more weeks. Then back into the bloom room so here we are 10 days later.

One previously unrealized advantage to doing a perpetual SOG style grow is that I can do this with only 2 main grow areas when I used to need 3 or more. Less energy consumption has lowered the power bill just a bit. I plan to harvest a few plants every week which means quicker turnover but lots of moving parts. When space becomes available it is filled with more plants. I never stop popping seeds and I take clones only from plants I want to keep. The progression goes yogurt cups > solo cups > 3 gal pots. Up to now I've used fabric sided pots but just started using grow bags which are just like thick plastic trash bags. I notice I don't need to water as much and there is virtually no runoff. So the grow has gotten more efficient just by changing to smaller plants.
Thanks for lookin peace

Really nice lookin plants man!

Blue Dream is some good dank.
Hey thanks!!! Been running it so long it's kinda blasé to me. It's consistent though. BD to me is like the Big Mac of weed; always good but always exactly the same as the last time you had it. Has been a staple in my garden for years which is why I still had this last clone... I never labeled it and then forgot what it was until the distinct smell gave it away. Always admired the bud structure thiough; love that fat little Christmas tree shape. It will be interesting to see how some of the BD X CMH crosses come out.

Some weird ass lookin plants here. It's because they've been flowered vegged and then reflowered. When they get all dark green like this I know the roots have penetrated the high N layer of chicken manure & crushed oyster shell that I build at the bottom of each final bloom container. It's super fast N though & they will have consumed most of it by week 8 or 9. These plants are only 2 to 3 weeks into final flower phase. The strawberry sour diesel x candyman hazes are about the strangest plants I've ever seen....the normal looking plants are from seeds found while making drysifted keif hash. They all got mixed up with all the crosses I did so I have no idea exactly what they are yet. Testers I call em; thanks for lookin peace

Yeah having a shit ton of seed stock is awesome but it really sucked harvesting all that seed laden bud. I would break up a nice fat cola bud to smoke on and the beans fall out like skittles...taste the rainbow...my old lady would whisper.
I do want to see how these crosses taste but my goal here is just to get a faster turnover. Sea of green perpetual if you will. Sometimes I wait too long after they show sex to transplant from solos into 3 gal bags and as a result some of these plants have been stunted from root bind. Too long a time in the solo cups; the next set of plants are not as stunted as these are. The key is early detection and as soon as they show sex they get transplanted to the larger size bags.
I think I can fit about 30 plants in this size container in my bloom room. The idea is more plants in bloom at a time with less veg time. I am also trying to identify potential mother plants. In the past I have cut plants leaving a few fans on to reveg them and take cuts. Eventually I will be going all clones from select mama plants but I gotta test out all the smoke from these crosses first. Super long term project here...got nothing but time lol

Damn there goes another Solistek 10k bulb. That's the 2nd one in a year. So far I have never gotten more than 7 months with these Solistek 600w MH bulbs before they blow out. Thought maybe the first one was a fluke because of some electrical and timer issues I was having at the time but this one blew for no apparent reason. I did have the ballast set to "super lumens" which is supposed to push slightly more than 600 watts; it's possible that setting has shortened the lifespan of the Solistek bulbs. Luckily I have a trusty old eye hortilux hps that still fires as a replacement for now. Then again I was running the eye hortilux on "super lumens" for over a year and it still works fine; seems fairly bright too. Time to order a new eye hortilux; have yet to find a more reliable 600w bulb.

Hell if I can remember but, in the last week I was reading about the super button on ballast's. Most that were talking were saying they think it shortens the bulb life span. Google it, I'm sure there's probably a few conversations to be found.

Yes I'd say it surely does. A brand spanking new eye hortilux hps has just been installed. Set the ballast back to regular old boring 100%. Super lumens was so extra I feel like I'm missing out on something now. Maybe it's a psychological feeling of loss or maybe it was the UVB that the 10k was providing; thinking about trying to add some uvb light bars to my flower room...
What do you think of these:

I copied the link to my home screen. Those look great, I've been thinking about trying some uvb. Whether you get those kind of results or not is yet to be seen but, I've heard nothing but good about adding uvb. I guess as long as you don't over do it.

There are several UVB supplemental lights currently on the market. Was also checking out California light works; they have both LED and T5 style models that are standalone fixtures or they have integrated UVB light bars into a few of their led models. Something to think about...
In other news results are in for the most recent set of plants vetted for sex. Out of 9 plants 7 turned out to be female...a personal best! Blunts and beers for everyone....
