....has a new book out:

View attachment 4032657

anyone read yet?
Publishing blurb:

So for one year, he crossed the aisle to spend time listening to, talking with, and praying with Republicans of all stripes. With his mind open and his dial tuned to the right, he went to evangelical churches, shot a hog in Texas, stood in pit row at a NASCAR race, hung out at Tea Party meetings, and sat in on Steve Bannon’s radio show. He also read up on conservative wonkery and consulted with the smartest people the Right has to offer.

LMFAO! Nope. Didn't read! I'll bet the pictures are whimsical though.

Apartment life bruh.

Why do white people like their homes at 65f?
Because they have no choice they can't afford to heat it.

I dont know if I'm just blessed or lucky but I've lived in apartments my whole life so the heat is usually included but paying for heat has never been a problem for me. Its 72 in my apartment year round unless I need a little help for the plants (its been a while since I've grown though).
Why the fuck would you buy a massive house but not have the money to heat it?
In your case why would do you spend money on internet if you can't heat your trailer?
A GREAT question..finally! It's part of the 'American Dream', of course..keeping up with 'the Jones'..I've seen homes here at gated communities..EMPTY. TV trays litter the living room. The kid usually has furniture. Beemer or Benz in the driveway..must keep up 'appearances'.

EXCESS..was the 'in thing' during the 1980's..caught hold like wildfire with PCs of the 90's (the awakening), then in comes Social Media (the brainwash) of the Millenium everything Kardashian; you have yourself a toxic culture/political brew..kinda like what we have now..

just cling to your religion, it's ok. different opinions are the devil and all.....

meanwhile the collectivists that have open and honest debate and discussion will continue to evolve into something better than a hive, as they've been doing for hundreds of years.

An urban liberal takes a trip to Texas as a cultural tourist. "how I learned to love the hicks". Don't read it, @twostrokenut , you might find out that some rednecks can actually talk in complete sentences and think at the level of normal human intelligence. We wouldn't want you to have your fragile white man's ego shattered.

Finally, I want to call you out on your fairly blatant cultural tourism. You’re not the first one to pull this stunt. For decades city folk have been pulling on a pair of suspenders and spending a few Sundays in church with The Conservatives and then writing books in which you declare yourself shocked — shocked! — to find that they read books and talk in complete sentences and think about race in America. But the fact that you’re not the only city slicker to “spend an entire year” with “the other side” doesn’t make what you’ve done any less ridiculous.

And the fact that you dragged NPR into your pre-chewed “How I learned to love the hicks” narrative, when public radio reporters have been telling conservative America’s story with care and knowledge and intimate, deep, factual reporting for decades? That’s even more ridiculous.

its funny when you collectivists are confronted with defining such shit as "gun deaths" no?

the rest of the free world is concerned with homicides while you drone on......"legal tender" is likewise something y'all kinda hiss at but don't dare define.

it's laughable really, thanks for the chuckles my dude.
