nahhhh, im deffo a 15 per 4x8 kinda guy - less veg time. If you can see the floor its no good!Might even be better to have a couple less plants, a little less crowded mebbe? Looking good from here anyways
Fair enough matenahhhh, im deffo a 15 per 4x8 kinda guy - less veg time. If you can see the floor its no good!
Hey Random, so even a 250K is OK to use? I have a hlg-320h-15B, (heavy sob) want to use for my strips (12V)You can use stranded wire as well but it's not recommended by Samsung. Although non soldered single stranded connections are not as durable, you should only twist the wire ends but not solder them additionally.
BTW,
Stranded wire is easier to insert if at the same time you press the small button down a bit to open the connector.
You should test the poti's resistance with an A/V meter. A resistance lower as 100k would limit the driver and there is usually a big deviation within a pack. In a package of 5, I find some with only 91k, but I also measured others with 110k. Too much is not a problem, but not enough is bad. 91k means only 91% light output with poti turned fully open, you don't want that.
But ther is a solution if your poti have a too low resistence, you can solder an extra 10k resistor in between to get over 100k.
Yes it would work, but it won't start to actually dim until the pot is turned 2/3 of the way down.Hey Random, so even a 250K is OK to use? I have a hlg-320h-15B, (heavy sob) want to use for my strips (12V)
thanks , figured id just drop this Q here.
yes, that's correct.ok, I see. Thanks for that info. and it will still be 0% to 100% dimmable, correct?its range on the knob is just short?
hey man. got in this morn just before lights off and theyre not happy - its not the mag this time, i think the coco has salt build up from the dodgy meter. if i have time im gna flush em all at lights on, loadsa work to do and a flight in morning...grrrrrrr. These plants keep kicking my ass! "Blue Lab Or Bin" is my new motto - everydays a learning day!Hey @lukio how's the plants looking with the Epsom salts added? Any difference?
Hopefully you'll get it sorted. These meters are great when they work properly, pita when they don't! Doesn't help that you have to rush in and out and fit plants in around a busy work schedule. I'm guessing you'd rather stay home and sort the plants out, if it paid the bills.....hey man. got in this morn just before lights off and theyre not happy - its not the mag this time, i think the coco has salt build up from the dodgy meter. if i have time im gna flush em all at lights on, loadsa work to do and a flight in morning...grrrrrrr. Just dont use cheap meters, i didnt even need to so that makes me double silly.Hopefully you'll get it sorted. These meters are great when they work properly, pita when they don't! Pics up later of my veg cab. Got a bit more drilling n screwing to do first...then I'll give you a shout when the electrics need doing
I just bought a cheap Multimeter........obvs it won't get used on my plants, just electrics, which could only contribute to burning down my flat.....so it's all OKJust dont use cheap meters
