I am a HUGE GDP fan myself - one of my top 3 fav indicas, mainly due to the flavor & the phenomenal job it does with my illness, Inflammatory Bowel Disease. FANTASTIC for digestive pain/issues. That said, this is one of the strains I've taken great pains to track down & secure good, authentic genetics from. Realize that GDP is/was a clone only strain. Any regular seeds (non-fem) of GDP, I would be wary of... there's quality reg GDP seeds out there... but it almost certainly has a male of something else - usually purple urkle or big bud, making it a pseudo-back cross. Also run into purple mendo & purple urkle being sold as GDP. Both clones and seeds. Ive had success with the flagship company (GDP from Grandaddy purple seed co), but so far, the best representation of GDP - good (not insane) potency, fantastic bubblegum grape/weed smell/flavor, & the YIELD. And that's where the subpar GDP offerings always seem to fail - their yields SUCK. A true, REAL cut of GDP is NOT a poor yielder. Maybe not insane - but definitely respectable.
To the point, Blimburn seeds out of Spain, has the best cut of it that IVE personally grown out. And they're cheap! Especially if you get their seeds from an American distributor, like uptowngrowlabs.net You have to email J personally at [email protected] & he'll give you payment instructions, but he distributes Blimburn's feminized GDP (for growing not breeding) for only $25 for 5 seeds. And they are real. I'm running a couple myself.

If you want something that changes with temps. You can almost do that with any strain. ALMOST. Not all. But alot of them. Change color with colder night temps and flushing also helps. If you want something truly PURPLE. EVERY TIME. get Mass Medical Strains Star Pupil. It is as purple as they come. No matter the temp.

I disagree. There are a LOOOOT of strains that do not have the low temp purpling gene. Anything sativa or sativa dominant will almost certainly NEVER blue/purple up. I think you're confused - it's almost every INDICA that darkens under lower flowering temps.
