Because the Constitution and its Amendments are an outline of civil rights, which this country was founded upon--Civil Rights as opposed to the totalitarian rule of a monarch government. You can't have disdain for civil rights and call yourself an American. You also can't support rights for the corporate machine, such as giving a corporate entity the same status as an actual person, and not support the rights of the People.

Trump is fucked and by proxy so are all AmeriKans. As much as I have no use for our current Canadian Prime Minister I'm so happy that the previous Conservative prick was gone before the orange speed bump got in as they would have totally fucked us all.

Both our systems are run by corporations and it's unlikely to change without violent revolution so we're stuck with it for the time being.

Our governments do a good job of keeping us all fighting within our ranks so we cannot effectively organize against them and Trump's people are doing a great job of that.

Health care is a societal issue and no one should have to die or be bankrupted because of ill health or emergency needs. Our Canadian system has many faults but no one is refused treatment and if you walk into emerg with serious, life threatening issues you go to the front of the queue. Waiting times for non-essential treatment is way longer than it should be but if you're having a heart attack or something immediate you are jumped on by every doctor in that hospital that knows what to do for that situation. If you have the means you can fuck off to another country and get it done now.

I'm pacifist in nature but have fought for my life on a few occasions and survived. I own guns, none registered nor illegal and firmly believe in the rights of an individual to protect him/herself using lethal force if necessary. In other words I will walk away from a fight if provoked but will not turn the other cheek if attacked. I wear my scars proudly.

Would be nice to see a real debate in one of these political threads but I doubt I'll live long enough to see any of you actually debate anything in any real sense of the word.
