Ive been loitering in the led thread for a few years slowwwwwwwly picking it up bit by bit. Techs changed, things have got a lot easier recently and its probably the only reason im able to slightly get my head round it...ish. Lap up growmau5 as much you can, he's such a valuable guy in this community. His old diy vids are a wicked start to get ya head round the numbers and basics, its slightly older tech but its good for gettin the gist of things. This vid was recent and is a really good overview of whats happened up until now. They are pretty baked! theyre great guys and both have had a huge impact on leds and this place. They both still use this place from time to time.

ive got the blue price plan so leccy is really cheap at night but i'll have up to 2200w in the flower tent soon so its really worth it.

Temps on/off you want 24/25 degrees all the time, as litttle fluctuation as possible and they will love you for it. it'll work well with lights on at night. i run my flower tent from 11pm til 11am to avoid the coldest times. Also made dealing with the hps heat easier. big temp swings also increase chances of bud rot in flower because of humidity. Environment is more important than anything else in my book, get that right with a good light and you will win! did you go coco or soil?

What body/s do you use? 1 x 5d3. the 5d4 isnt worth the upgrade. sony might be...unfortunately.

500 in veg.. means I can run lower wattage right? right.
1000 in flower, I guess that's going to be pretty much full power.. although once the plants are fully grown, I should reduce the power to avoid light burn.. is that what you meant when you said turning it down.. or were you referring to something else? spot on.
Surely turning it down will affect the bud yield though? nah, canopy ppf stays the same as the plants are closer.

Is yours digital or analog.. the watt plug I mean. the plug's digital. The decks are also digital these days.

Was it really the shit LED's or lack of knowledge? :bigjoint: million percent, it was a lack of knowledge. i went to the wrong forum.

Do you grow constantly then? Where do you dry your buds? Or have you like various locations throughout the house? :cool: constantly aha! drying is a very good topic. Pretty lengthy but so important. Hang in the tent they flower in for a week to 10 days then in air tight glass jars for cure

The problem with uk420 is they sit round all day blowing eachother in some plant magic dominated hydro shop. If you don't use hid and plant magic, they stop stop blowing eachother then tell you you don't know what you're doing. Then they blow each other again after you leave!

It should be called plant magic man love UK 420. Would suit them much better!

LOL Hello dude......yeah there is less of a stigma attached to LED's on this site, thankfully.

@lukio is helping me sort out my groom issues...I wasn't sure at first, misdiagnosed a problem that made it worse. Lukio has convinced me to go Coco for next grow as that eliminates a few probs that soil can give.....

I think you are kinda right dude....certainly spot on re the hid. Plant magic has lost it's lustre since it was taken over by a US company and cheaper ingredients are now used. At least that's what I was told.......

Yeah old timers bloom used to have calcium and magnesium in, but it no longer does. That was ages ago when that was changed.

If you use plant magic, they'll put up with leds.

Too many people brown nosing the mods there. I may get banned from the odd forum here and there, but I ain't a fuck*ng brown nose like those man love uk 420 gaylords that have their head so far up eachothers arses that they know what eachother had for breakfast.

I'm done with that place for life! Nothing new there ever, they repeat the same old shit. Try a gavita... try a 1000w para... Use plant magic... blah fucki*g blah fu*king blah...

It is stupid when literally a Mod could post one word and the number of likes is in the dozens.
Re heads up arses - spot on mate.
Just so set in their ways that they can't see the wood for the trees. Mods even deny there is an anti-LED bias...lol yeah right!

There are some decent folk on there though but they can't speak out cos they'll be sent to Coventry...and nobody wants to go there lol
