well. id agree. but let me ask you something. why do you think it wont, because that light isnt hot. Its not hot because its not powerful. Even if you add 10 more of them. They are all weak and so your grows will be also. I think this advice applies to new cfl growers in general. Do you want to spend 3 months of your time with this and only have like 1 joint. Were trying to save you years literally that we spent learning this.

At a minimum you need a 400 MH. And I mean that for your 3 months time most of all. good luck

at minnimum i dont meed a mh. cfls work perfectly fine. also like i said i will be getting more cfls. and this things is only like half and inch atm. so it dosnt need alot of light right now. just watch my grow will be amazing , and i dont need you telling me otherwise jsut cause i dont got hps or mh.

Take a look at poppinsmokys cfl grow if you think cfl's dont grow good stuff. Super thread to review. He has great posts and pictures. He also got 4.5 o's off of 2 plants with his grow.

ya man i took the advice of vet growers on here and lets just say i am very happy. the art of indoor growing has been going on since the mid 80's. while a 400 hps may cose 150 you will get 10 times that in bud. its like any other hobby money invested is money earned

well i intend on not spending any money. havent yet and probably never will.:weed:

free pot is what im about , and i truly enjoy this hobby. almost as much as i enjoy smoking

30 minutes, I wish. I've been going for 2-3 hours a night since Monday and I'm about a 1/4 of the way done with mine...although it is a lot bigger than a cardboard box and not made out of one. I'm ending up with a 36"w/34"l/60"h flower room and a 17"w/34"l/60"h veg room.

I should have everything but the doors done by tonight. I'm basically building a tent.

You make a half assed grow box, you get half assed weed.

That goes without saying, for everyone.
If this doesn't catch fire it'll fall appart by accident.

Just go buy some wood and make a box.

or better yet go pick up some wooden pallets for FREE and spend like $2 on some nails.. i'm sure you have a hammer around the house..

Build a box about the same size as that and get yourself some white paint.

damn man it isn't that hard, you'll end up with more bud than what you're gonna get from that.

once i get money i will invest in wood :weed:

So did you post on here for people to give you input, or do you just know everything and need no help? As for needing an MH, I don't see why you would not want to spend the money on an HID light..that's "ignorant" as you'd like to say.

I'm not trying to flame you, and neither is anyone else, we are just giving you advice that you SHOULD follow. As for the guy who grow 4.5oz with 2 plants. My first grow ever off one plant I'm gonna get about 4....that's with a 150 HPS. Think about it. HID is the way to go, you'll waste more money buying MORE CFLS then you would just growing with HID.

Flowering outdoors? Good luck, hope you succeed, why not Veg outside too?

i know sorry for my attitude i know all you mean well

i do take all input that people give me. i know most things i have to do. and i have no money at all right now so i gotta do everything the shitty way at first.

and i most likely will upgrade to ither MH HID , and HPS but i dont have the money at the moment.

i wont be spending money on more cfls. i will be getting them for free.

with my first grow i intend to spend 0$ except the electricity bill

for vegging outside. id rather just have 20/4(was doing 24/0) lighting :D i found a non digital timer wich amazed the shit outa me , so soon i will have better supplys and such

and again sorry for my attitude its just me :)

T5 fluoros seem to be working for me though. HID isn't entirely necessary. You can still get alright yield with CFLs.

cardboard is nothing but long fibered paper. Making a growbox out of cardboard is the same thing as making a growroom out of construction paper.

all you idiots (yes your all idots)who thinks there will be a fire. there wont be a fire. my lights dont get hot enough , i know how to do electric work so that can cause one , soo how can something catchfire without a source? d bags
