Anybody know why my rooms getting crazy stinky 2 or 3 hours after lights off?

Title pretty much says it. Im used to my flower room usually getting ridiculously stinky whenever the lights kick on or a couple hours before, but this time everyday about an hour or two after the lights go off one strain just starts emitting stank like crazy. Even stronger than during lightime. Was curious if anyone had experience with this.
Conditions. Strain: Danky Kong by 303 Seeds (Kong X Biodiesel F1)
Lighting 12/12 sealed tent no leaks
Temp: lowest 65 night, highest 85 day, aim for 70s
Brand new carbon filter used less than a month on 24/7
Medium is half soil half coco, with added 25% perlite, 5-10% earthworm castings
I run the shit out of compost teas and such. My soil is veeeeery alive

I'm adding this isn't a complaint or a problem. I'm just curious about the science behind it.

She's doing what you are asking her to do and that is to produce floral hormones during the dark period. It's completely normal. Some strains are just more stinky than others. If odor is a problem choose a low odor Strain like Cindy 99 ect ect

could be worse. could be no smell at all.

Terpenes are what give you smell. They evaporate under light. Its the reason they smell more at lights off. they will smell the strongest right before lights on. that is when I would chop to. The most terpenes and starches in the root zone.

I wasn't saying it was a problem or complaining i was really just curious as to why this one was so much more intense with lights off. I just like to know the details of what's happening. I love the smell. Overwhelming lemony diesel

I had always heard they stank more with lights on because terpenes were evaporating off the buds if temps were too high.
Your just saying the lights evaporate the terpenes already in the air causing less smell during lights on?

I'm saying they stink more at night as evident by what you found out.

They produce more terpenes at night and no light to evaporate them. Not really evaporate, it destroys them.

But realistically the plants are made to utilize light and these kinds of plants thrive in heavy light environments, it seems odd that light could destroy terpenes. Excess heat destroying them makes a lot more sense to me. Ill definitely look into it a bit more and see what I can find though. I've been wrong manya time

I don't know what to tell you. Light rids terpenes. Your own grow just showed you that.

It is a combo of light, higher day temps, uv and other things from light.

Chop right before lights on for smoother and smellier smoke.

Even in my outdoor grows and green houses .....when the evening comes along rite when it's getting full dark after a hot day that's when the smell really gets intense ...more so than the rest of the day by far .....then by the time suns coming up again it's calmed down a lot ......

I do already know to chop at night and its actually best to chop in the middle of the lights of and more towards the beginning half as this is when the plant allows the most fertilizers to sink back to the root zone. Though with a proper flush it really doesn't matter as much for smoothness. Still good to have the hormone boost though.

I'm not asking y'all to bust out the crayons. I'm trying to hear some trigonometry
