hollow stalk/stems

just chopped a dark devil auto grown in soil and the stalk and stems are hollow, kinda like a drinking straw. What's up with that? Plant looked fine.

Thanks, I am just trying to get a small garden of smoke that suits me, I don't like a real heavy head high so the strains like that will be donated to my friends. I want a good relaxed , crank up some Floyd smoke

Hollow stalk/stems are from a boron deficiency. You don't want hollow stems. Plants do not transport anything through the hollow area in the stalk, only through the solid part of the stalk.

And despite popular opinion, purple stalks are from a phosphorus deficiency, not genetics, just FYI.

You probably don't actually have a phosphorus deficiency if you're using cannabis marketed nutrients or most any flowering fertilizer. You probably have an abundance of calcium, copper, potassium, iron and/or zinc blocking a sufficient amount of phosphorus being taken up by the plant. It could also be that your plant has genetics that suck at taking up phosphorus, e.g., Blueberry. Blueberry takes a skilled grower (that is aware of this obviously) to get it to take up enough phosphorus to not have purple stalks.

And you may or may not have a boron deficiency. Cannabis is more of a boron hog than a lot of people know IMO and you need a proportional amount of boron to the amount of available calcium. Just like with phosphorus too much calcium (without sufficient amounts of boron) and/or too much potassium will block sufficient amounts of boron being taken up by the plant. Too much nitrogen is also an antagonist to boron uptake, but your plant doesn't look like it had too much nitrogen and calcium or potassium abundance is more likely the culprit since you already had a phosphorus deficiency.

These are just educated guesses unless you get a soil test though because it could be a couple different abundances or deficiencies.

Your plant looks like it turned out some really nice buds though
