Agro-lights, at least made by phillips will turn your soil into the fucking dessert and kill your plants. My grow room hit 100 degrees from a 75W and 120W Agro-Light and the soil turned into hot sand that you have to avoid stepping on when your on the beach, in the course of 2 hours it shrivled my healthiest plant into a dead plant, just a warning.

Your lamp is to blame in the same way the sun is responsible for global warming.

Dont blame the bulb for your inability to cool your room effectively, but I would get a conventional air cooled hood with a HPS/MH

Not at all, because these lights simply will not work, at a close enough range in which the plants can get somehwat of the light they need the light will burn the plants and soil, even with a fan disrupting the heatwaves between the light and the pot. At a range in which the plants wont burn the plan will start to strech for more sun, granted, I'm sure you "Could" grow a plant under these lights, but it wouldn't be a good one. I'm just giving a warning so people don't spend there money like I did on plants that arn't effective.

Sorry to hear that, but if you read the grow faq you would have realized that those lights are incandescent and therefore not the correct type for growing.

Ye it's my first time growing, just usin bagseed and once I get it down pact I'll spend some money on real seeds.. I still got 4 plants left though and I'm going out tonight to buy CFLs. RIP little plants.

Spend your first money on a quality MH or HPS light first. Stick with the bagseed for now. With good growing conditions, your bagseed grow can produce some real high quality bud, you just won't know what strain it is.
Once you get the technique of growing down, invest in some quality seeds.

ive had many good harvests from a 1000 watt phillips bulb only 6 in from my tops.. even as babies, its called tmpered glass and a 600cfm+ exhaust fan good plan to think about ventilation before even looking at lights. start with cfl, and an axial fan, then if you wanna step to the other side add an hid after you get the hang of things.

No offense...but you do not have the experience to be giving out advice then.Incandescent light is not the proper light for the job.Bet your plants are stretched.
i am using a phillps aggro right now and its working fine. this is my first time growing too.

ya im 2 months into flowering on my first grow and i used CFL all the way...in my opinion definately the right choice for someone whos just getting into it. theres no reason to go and spend a few hundred dollars on HID/MPH or whatever when you don't need to plus you need more ventilation and electric bill will rise...i've got 15 CFLs all around my ladies and there doing great...but def. no incandescent...

also the reason i began using it in the first place is because i got it from my dad who has been growing for almost 25 years and i thought if he is using it right now it should work for mine.

guys incandescents are the wrong way to grow! please read the grow faq and inform yourselves...
Incandescents are definately the wrong bulb, but Phillips does make HID lights and I'm pretty sure the guy with the 1000 watter is using one (I'm thinking Son T Agro )
