Replacing 2000 watts of HPS with 1000 watts COB LEDs

I think you should definitely get a Photon 180 and specify 3000K 90 CRI chips.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results.
Is that what u are using the 3000k "90"CRI??
I know my side of my room with the 3000k 80CRI ,is killing the 3500k side,just amazing...but I bought the 90 CRO to see if its even better then the 80CRI,so U caught my attention when u mentioned and advised for the 90CRI...

I use the 3000k 80 CRI with amazing results..
but i have the 90 CRI to replace the 3500k side so I was curious to what results he saw compared to 80CRI..
This shit gets to be too damn technical sometimes don't it lol
U almost feel like a mad scientist haha,,,Im sure both rock,,I'll know for sure here soon about the 90..
I have a feeling there better then the 80..I'll share my data and results with the crew,,love and peace guys:peace::bigjoint:

You need to research more what YOU want brother. Please keep in mind the spectrums are not the same per K temp across the different brands. So a 4000K citizen for example and a 4000K cree will not have the same spectrum.

I kept looking at the pics u posted cuz I just have not seen that anywhere and they r producing lol...

Yea, same subject, LOL. This summer has been brutal, like a dozen days over 90. That's one reason for my switch to cobs. Last summer I ran 2000 watts of HPS and had problems keeping the room under 90! And my water was too warm, of course. With the switch, the room has not gone over 83 or so. I use frozen water bottles to keep the res chilled and my water never goes above 73, still high, but down by about 6 degrees! Humidity peaks out at like 56%.

Once I get rid of the 600 hps, it will be even better!

Another thing to note with cobs vs HPS is that dye to the lack of ir in cobs you actually need higher leaf temps to get the same photosynthetic rate. So they actually benefit warmer environments in that sense as well.

True, well hope you get to those temps then, LEDs make heat too so you might want to look into a small unit for air conditioning.

@Eightenten Those thieves are using the same deceptive advertising that has hurt the led grow light industry. They are calculating the total possible wattage of the LEDs when that has nothing to do with what they are running that chips at. Those chips aren't being ran at 200 watts each, that is there maximum power rating. They don't even run at half of that on that light. If you look closer, you will see it only draws 300 watts. Total scam.
