What's the best led for my space?

Hey guys, how are all of you doing today?
Ok so I used to grow awhile ago and I just started again.

I use cfl lights and it just takes forever to harvest a plant.
So I am going to get an led light. I've seen so many on the internet and I can't decide what I want.

I have plenty of room so that's not a problem. I'm looking for something around 200 bucks.
I have one question. I've seen led's that have a veg switch and then you can switch it to flowering.
Would it be better to get one with this feature or would a regular led that you use throughout the grow.

One more thing, does a good led work as good as an hps because my autoflower says it takes 8 weeks to harvest and cfl's arent going to do that, so would a good led be able to do this in 8 weeks?

One more thing. I think the mars hydro would be the best led to get.
I don't know what kind to get though. I like the mars II 400 watt because it's under 200 dollars.

There's also the mars hydro reflector 200 watt. What's the difference if I get a reflector light instead of the 400 watt light.
I'm guessing the 400 watt would be the one to get. What do you guys think.

What is "Best" for your grow space is relative to a number of different things.
1. About how much space do you have.
2. Your current overall budget (Electricity, nutrients, grow medium, etc)
3. If you are willing to save more funds you can purchase or make a more efficient main light source. With about 300-400 USD you can make a 4 COB light fixture with a 150-200 watt power supply that is suitable for a lot of experience levels.
4. Your experience and knowledge level.

Regarding the MarsHydro reflector series vs. one of the other MarsHydro light arrays. The reflector series lights use plastic forms with a metallic coating to reflect light downward onto the plant.

For an extra $120 you can make a better light than the Mars 400w. It would be a 200w Cree CXB3590 diy light and it would be a true 200w more powerful and would last 10x longer. How I know I had a Mars light that failed me.

Edit: $320 total cost

I have a 2 foot by 2 foot closet I grow in. It's about 6 foot high. The mars light I was looking at was the mars II 400.
It has the veg and bloom feature. Would it be better to have both of them turned on throughout the whole grow?
I know a lot about growing because I grew about 5 years ago and I'm just starting to grow again.

I'd really like to know if I can grow my autoflower in 8 weeks with the led because if I stick with cfl it would prolly take 12 weeks or more.

Man there is SO much info on this subject in here it's almost impossible to not find something before posting. We're here to help, but everytime I see "I think a Mars hydro would be the best bang for my buck" thead it just gets old. Fuck blue and red led. GET COBS.

Diodes burnt out in 15 months and they sent me diodes and wanted me to fix it myself or pay $50 to ship it to a repair guy who didn't answer the phone when I tried calling him and he's in Cali like me. The light would be easy to make I will help you, just look at my new lights

I never seen anything about mars hydro lights on here. I want the details of that light not all led lights.
I don't even know what cobs are but I think the 400 watt mars hydro would be just fine.

I would never be able to do what you did with that light I don't think. I suck at stuff like that lol.
15 months really isn't that bad though is it?

You could grow 7 auto flower plants in that time. Do you know how long it should last? I think I seen that they last for 50,000 hours.

15 months that's only 12,360 hours and here is what one of 2 panels that failed

of I wanted you to build a cob that would throw as many lumens as 600 hps eye hortilux super hps and a 400 5oook mh, 1 how much investment are we talking? how long before things need replacing?

The lights I just posted they are 500w and it will cost $774 in parts that's not including the miscellaneous parts like wire and screws and angle aluminum if you choose passive cooling.
